A.Clerge earns "Spartan" honors again!
5/6/07 Adelbert Clerge has again been named "Spartan of the Week". During the past week Clerge went 6 for 12 at the plate with 6 RBI. On May 3rd against East Rockaway he went 4 for 4 with his first Home Run of the season. He also pitched 5 scoreless innings of relief with 5 strikeouts. Coming into this week he was tied for ninth place in Nassau County with 21 RBI. Congratulations to Adelbert on being named "Spartan of the Week".

Rodney Lawrence- Spartan of the Week!!
April 29th- Rodney Lawrence (Senior OF) has been named “Spartan of the Week”. In the Spartan's last five games Rodney is hitting .600 (3 for 5). During one 3 game stretch he came off the bench and delivered three straight pinch hits. Rodney, a great team player, exemplifies the dedication, attitude and hustle that all players should possess. Congratulations to Rodney, for being named Spartan of the Week!!

Vazquez honored as Spartan of the week!
4/8/07- Biondis Vazquez has been named Spartan of the week. The junior Pitcher/Infielder pitched a complete game in the Spartan’s first victory of the 2007 season. Biondis struck out 7 in Elmont’s thrilling extra inning win against Great Neck North HS. The win snapped a 21 game losing streak dating back to the '05 season. Biondis has a record of 1 win and 1 loss on the mound with 15 strikeouts and a 3.65 ERA in 15 1/3 innings pitched. Congratulations to Biondis on an excellent start to the season.

Vallejos named "Spartan of the Week"
Junior first basemen Luis Vallejos has started the season off with a bang! Luis has reached base safely in every at bat so far throughout the first two games. Vallejos went 5 for 5 with a double, triple and home run during the first week of the season. During that stretch he drove in four RBI and has scored apair of runs. Congratulations to Luis Vallejos!

Check here each week for the recipient of the "Spartan of the Week". This award will be given to the player that best exemplifies the team motto, "Hustle, Learn, Win". The winner will be based on not only on-field performance, but also practice work ethic and overall attitude towards the team.
