Helpful Tips for New Families to Softball

CONFUSED ON WHAT YOUR DAUGHTER NEEDS FOR SOFTBALL?

If your daughter is new to the league or has grown out of her current equipment, then we may be able to help you.  Take a look below at some helpful links, equipment charts, or general information.

 

BASIC EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR LITTLE LADIES (T-BALL):

  • Glove (see chart below)
  • Cleats
  • Visor (wait for coach to give you the team colors)
  • Shorts (wait for coach to give you the team colors)
  • Water bottle (for practices and/or games)
  • Softball T-Ball Bat (not necessary, league provides each team with a couple of bats)

BASIC EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR ALL OTHER DIVISIONS:

Below is a list of items that most players will need during season play.

  • Glove (see chart below)
  • Cleats
  • Sliding Shorts
  • Knee Guards
  • Visor (wait for coach to give you the team colors)
  • Shorts (wait for coach to give you the team colors)
  • Water bottle (for practices and/or games)
  • ASA approved fast pitch bat (not necessary, league provides each team with a couple of bats)


TRACE SOFTBALL SLIDING SHORTS Various brands available

Extra -Length (14”) and thick 3/8” premium grade vinyl /nitrile foam pad is engineered for high quality protection, while minimizing compression set. It provides superior protection when fielding and sliding. Nylon/spandex fabric fits comfortably on back of the leg without restricting freedom of movement.
