ESHL: Welcome
Thanks for visiting the ESHL web site.
The goal if the ESHL is to give kids a chance to play hockey with their school friends, and to give each of them a fun and unique hockey experience. While their regular season teams might have the goal of winning, the ESHL has set the goal for each player to have fun.
Unlike the good old days, in today's youth hockey world it is common for many children from the same school to play for different hockey teams outside of their hometown. Because of this, kids today rarely get a chance to play with their school friends.
To make the league as fun as possible the ESHL has modified some of the standard rules of play that will surely be well received by the players and fans alike. See the My Site News page for more on this...
In a nutshell, that's the reason for starting the ESHL - so kids get to play with their school friends and to bring the fun back to the game while the kids are still young enough to enjoy it.
The League will be made up of two divisions:
The 2nd/3rd Grade Division
The 4th/5th Grade Division
Each team will play 15 games within their division, including playoffs at the end of the season.
We are looking for volunteer coaches for each team. If interested in putting a team together for the upcoming season, please contact us ASAP at ElementarySchoolHockeyLeague@comcast.net.
Additional information including the Team Registration Form can be found on the "Handouts" page.
Registration is open now for the upcoming season. The pre-season jamboree will be played in late October and regular season games will begin in November 2009.
