For those of you wondering how much food we collected at the Edge Mountaineer Spring Classic, we delivered and weighed it last night. The result was 194 lbs, well in excess of our goal of 150lbs. Many thanks to all of you who took the time to make a donation. The Interfaith Foodbank was very grateful.

See you at the rink?

Tyler M. at "Spring Fling" and Coach Gerry on Duck Tour
Tyler takes to the ice for a game at Spring Fling, and Coach Gerry loads the Duck.
As you can see, the weather was good for our Duck Tour of Boston, and we had an excellent guide. Our tour took us through the historic part of Boston, as well as on the Charles River. The tour was followed by a lunch at the Science Museum, followed by a trip round the Museum.

Six Flags, Duck Tour and Science Museum a great success.
In the last 2 days off, the boys had a great time, as the weather remains good. One group of boys went on one of the biggest rides at Six Flags 7 times. Coach Gerry braved a high wire act.
Tomorrow, our last day will involve visits to Boston College, Northeastern and Harvard Square.
All the boys will arrive in Calgary from Minneapolis, on Flight 1541 at 11:03pm.

Edge Teams in tough at Spring Fling
Even though team 1 went 1-1-1 and team 2 went 0-3, the boys had a great experience playing in the Midget Division. The hockey was tough and fast, and the games were all close except the last game for team 2. Check the Links to the tournament on this website, for the results.

Friday, May 13
Brown University a hit with the boys !!!!
Coaches Grillo and Workman gave us a great tour of the hockey facilities and the university.
Providence is a pretty city, and the university has lots of old and interesting buildings.
Check out the Brown University website on the Links section of this site.
Next up is Study Hall followed up by a pre-game meal, and our first games this evening.

Edge Grade 9 Arrive Safely in Boston
The boys all arrived safely in Boston yesterday, with only one bag lost in transit.
They spent a very busy day in downtown Boston, visiting: Fenway Park, BU and The Fleet Centre. Fenway Park and The Fleet Centre were particlaurly memorable, as we were entertained by Steve "The Guide" and Paul Stewart (ex NHL referee) respectively.
The boys left with a real appreciation of the history of this town.
The weather is fantastic at the moment.
Next up is a trip to Rhode Island, and a visit to Brown University.
We play our first games tomorrow night.
