Eastside Little League: Divisions - Age Breakdown

Juniors
All 13-14 year olds must Try-Out. Junior Division managers will draft their teams after the try-out. This division uses full baseball rules and a 60/90 field. This division interleagues with other Little Leagues in our area.
Majors
All 9-12 year olds wanting to play Majors must Try-Out. Major Division managers will draft their teams after the try-out. Players who played last year must try-out again as there are no property players this year. Managers will re-select their entire roster. All 12 -year-olds will play Majors unless certain circumstances prevent them from playing at this level.
AAA (Minor)
9-11-year-olds not selected by a Majors team will be drafted by AAA managers. 8-year-olds wanting to play in AAA are allowed but parents should use their judgement before making this decision. Siblings may be placed on the same team if they are able to play in the same division. Eastside wants every team to be competitive. This division allows kids to pitch.
AA (Minor)
7-9-year olds that played in A or AA last year. AA uses a pitching machine with pitches in the 32-35mph range. Teams randomly selected (drawn from a hat), every effort will be made to make the teams even (based on ages). Siblings may be placed on the same team.
A (Minor)
Mostly 6-year-olds
Last years T-Ballers and 7-year-olds not quite ready to play AA (Minor). Teams randomly selected (drawn from a hat), every effort will be made to make the teams even (based on ages). Siblings may be placed on the same team. This division utilizes slow, coach pitches to allow the player to get accustomed to a moving pitch.
T-Ball
5 and 6-year-olds new to baseball. This division is meant to be an introduction to baseball. Teams randomly selected (drawn from a hat), siblings may be placed on the same team. This division utilizes a "T", a soft ball and shorter bases (50 feet).
Challenger
Ages 5-18 who want to play baseball.
