East County Little League: Welcome

Serving Eastern Conta Costa County, California and the communities of Bethel Island, Brentwood, Byron, Discovery Bay, Knightsen & Oakley

The East County Little League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization associated with Little League Baseball & Little League Softball.  The ECLL provides instructional baseball & softball for youth ages 5 to 18 years old.  Consisting of 8 baseball divisions and 4 girls fastpitch softball divisions, ECLL provides a venue for kids to learn the game and compete in a safe and supervised environment.  East County Little League also features a comprehensive Challenger division for youth with special needs.  As a Little League organization, the ECLL gives each participant the opportunity to advance according to their ability and strives to instill good sportsmanship and a place where lifelong memories are created!

2010 ECLL REGISTRATION SIGN-UPS!!

All Sign-ups will be held at Iron House Elementary School, located at:
4801 Frank Hengel Way, Oakley, CA 94561
  
Registration forms can be downloaded from the website in the Handouts menu.
  
Please bring the following information with you to sign-ups to expidite the process:
  
Proof of Residence:
All applicants (including returning players) must bring two seperate proofs of residency.  These are to include the name and physical address (PO boxes are not acceptable) of each player's parent(s) or court appointed guardian(s).  One must be a valid driver's license (with picture showing current address) AND one of the following:
Utility Bill (PG&E, Water, Garbage) / Voter Registration / Mortgage Statement / Insurance  Statement
  
Proof of Age:
All players (including returning players) are required to show proof of age with either an original Birth Certificate -or- a certified copy of a Birth Certificate.

*The league fees include all Fundraiser & Uniform costs in the total price.  There is a maximum league registration  fee of $480.00 for families signing up three or more kids.  (Please note that there will be a $60.00 uniform fee per player beyond the three player maximum cost).
  
The East County Little League does have a Financial Assistance program available to those families that may need it.  The ECLL Financial Aid Form is available in the Handouts section of the website. 

2010 ECLL TRYOUTS & LATE SIGN-UPS

Tryouts will be held at Oakley Elementary School, located at:
501 Norcross Lane, Oakley, CA 94561
  
All ECLL players will need to attend one of the Tryouts except for the following:
  
Tee-Ball (5 & 6 year old Boys and Girls) – NO TRYOUTS, KIDS ARE ASSIGNED TO TEAMS.
Mini-Minor Softball (6 & 7 year old Girls) – NO TRYOUTS, KIDS ARE ASSIGNED TO TEAMS.
Farm (“A”) Division (6 year old Boys & Girls) – NO TRYOUTS EXCEPT FOR 7 YEAR OLD BOYS.
Challenger Division –NO TRYOUTS, KIDS ARE ASSIGNED TO TEAMS.
  
** Please note that Boys or Girls that are 7 years of age that are playing in the Baseball Division will need to attend a Tryout due to 7 yr olds being eligible to be drafted in the Baseball Junior-Minor "AA" Division.
PLEASE NOTE: All Non-Property Players MUST attend at least one (1) tryout.

NEW FOR THE 2010 SEASON – All 10 year olds in Baseball & Girls Softball will be eligible for the Majors Division Draft!!

Age 7  & 8                            - Sat. Jan. 16th  at 2:00 p.m. / Sat. Jan. 23rd at 2:00 p.m.
Age 9                                     - Sat, Jan. 16th  at 12:30 p.m. / Sat, Jan. 23rd  at 12:30 p.m.
Age 10                                  - Sat, Jan. 16th at 10:30 p.m. / Sat, Jan. 23rd at 10:30 p.m.
Age 11                                   - Sat, Jan. 16th at 9:00 a.m. / Sat, Jan. 23rd at 9:00 a.m.
Age 12                                  - Sat, Jan. 16th at 8:00 a.m. / Sat, Jan. 23rd at 8:00 a.m.
Age 13 & 14                        - Sat. Feb. 6th at 8:00 a.m. / Sat. Feb. 13th at 8:00 a.m.

NOTE: 14-year olds who are on a high school team should attend the age 15 & 16 tryouts.
SOFTBALL
Age 8                                    - Sat, Jan. 16th  at 8:30 a.m., Sat, Jan. 23rd  at 8:30 a.m.
Age 9 & 10                          - Sat, Jan. 16th  at 10:00 a.m., Sat, Jan. 23rd at 10:00 a.m.
Age 11 & 12                        - Sat, Jan. 16th at 11:00 a.m., Sat, Jan. 23rd at 11:00 a.m.
Age 13,14,15 & 16           - Sat, Jan. 16th at 1 p.m., Sat, Jan. 23rd at 1:00 p.m.
Age 14,15,16,17 & 18    - TBA.
NOTE: 14,15, or 16 year olds who are on a high school team should attend the age 14,15,16,17 & 18 tryouts.
  
All Baseball division tryouts will be held at Oakley School (except for Junior & Senior Baseball which will be held at the Laurel Fields.  All Softball division tryouts will be held at Oakley School.  Players may attend both Tryouts!
  
Late Registration Sign-Ups will be held at the ECLL Snack Shack for all divisions.  Please ensure you bring all required Proof of Age & Residence to expedite the registration process.  January 23rd will be the final ECLL sign-up for the 2010 season!
