Central Piedmont Football League
The North Carolina Central Piedmont Football League (CPFL) is a competitive football and cheerleading league comprised seventy (70) football individual teams. The CPFL is an alliance of 19 youth athletics programs and serves a eight (8) county region of the greater north-central piedmont of North Carolina. The athletics programs participating in the CPLF are: Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Durham-Bethesda, Durham Downtown, East Chatham, Lee, Liberty, New Market, Orange County, Ramseur, Ragsdale, Randleman, Seagrove, Siler City, Southeast Guilford, South Davidson, Southwest Randolph, Star, and West Chatham.

NEW - 2006 League Age Limits


The 2006 Football season the CPFL will begin with a new age requirement. The following League age rules will apply: Participants must be seven (7) by August 1, 2006 and cannot be thirteen (13) before August 1, 2006.   Age waivers can be granted before the commencement of the football season by a vote of the CPFL Board.

8 and Under Team / cannot be 9 before August 1
10 and Under Team / cannot be 11 before August 1
12 and Under Team / cannot be 13 before August 1
2006 League Weight Limits

The CPFL maintains strict enforcement of the league weight rules. There is a no-allowance policy regarding weights and weight overages cannot be waived by the coaches. The following weight limits are defined as the baseline initial weight, of which the player must attain before they can play. After the player has attained the weight, they may not exceed 5 additional pounds in growth during the remainder of the 2006 football season. Weight limits apply in each age division, as follows;

8 and Under Team (Ages 7-8) / Weight limit 115 lbs
10 and Under Team (Ages 9-10) / Weight limit 135 lbs
12 and Under Team (Ages 11-12) / Weight limit 150 lbs
