July 8,Congratulations go out to Forest Park's Amanda Braunecker, Yesterday she and Coach Todd Buckingham @ IU SouthEast reached a verbal agreement. 18U Gold Coach Tim Bertram spoke to Coach Buckingham last night he is very excited to have recruited a young lady of Amanda's caliber. He said academically and athletically she is the model of the type of recruits he is looking for. He said her pitching and hitting will immediately impact his team and definitely make them better.

May 29,Two 18 Gold player's Kieffer and Bertram
announced their plans this week for the fall 2009 college season. I
Both have accepted athletic scholarship offers.
Jessica Kieffer from Mt. Carmel has accepted Coach Schnarre's ( Wabash Valley ) offer to play softball for the Warriors this Fall. She is very excited to join several other Earthquake players as members of Coach Schnarre's squad. "Kieffer no doubt will make an impact with her multi talented skills and speed." said McFall.
Then Levyn Bertram has turned down several softball scholarship offers and accepted Coach Engelbrecht's athletic scholarship offer to play soccer for the University of Southern Indiana. Levyn is a very gifted goal keeper which anybody who knows her have no doubt that the skills she has polished at 1 base over the past 6 years as a member of the Indiana Earthquake has helped make her the great goalie she has become.
"Levyn has been a very good example of what an earthquake kid can do by playing through the program. Not only did she have her choice, she prooved that hard work can give you more opportunities even out of softball." Said Coach McFall
"I also want to Thank Tim Bertram At this time for his years of service to the Quake. He has stepped in to help the organization grow and has developed quite a few future stars getting ready to to get to the next level. "These two announced were just the beginning.Bertram, ANOTHER PIECE OF THE PUZZLE IN OUR ASA INDUCTION RECENTLY" Said McFall. "We are lucky to have Tim and his leadership."
RETIREMENT IS A GREAT THING. MCFALL HAS GOT TO WATCH WABASH VALLEY(43-3 ) 42 OF THE 46 GAMES THEY HAVE PLAYED.
"I have enjoyed watching this fun group of players. There seems to be a different kid stepping up every day to deliver a knock out punch". I do miss the everyday of coaching but this has been great" said Mcfall.

INDIANA EARTHQUAKE 18U GOLD FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE
YEAR EARNED A BID TO THE ASA HALL OF FAME 18U TOURNEY IN OKLAHOMA CITY OKLAHOMA. 9 GAMES THE FIRST WEEKEND IN 90 PLUS DEGREE TEMPS WAS THE STORY FOR THE QUAKE...KNOCKED IN THE LOSERS BRACKET BY THE INDIANA MAGIC SATURDAY NIGHT 2-1 CAUSED THE QUAKE TO GO ON A TEAR. Beating HOOSIER PRIDE TWICE THE WEEKEND AVENGING A 6-1 LOSS FROM LAST SEASONS DIAMONDS OF THE SOUTH. They are a very good team. The quake was set back in pool play by the Indy edge 3-2 after a McFall hit and a Damm homerun to make the final talley close. Opening Sunday The earthquake whipped LVO in an early morning matchup to send them home, then had to travel across to CENTRAL TO PUT THE INDIANA MAGIC OUT OF THE TOURNEY 9-3 and then eventually lose to the Indy Edge in THE CHAMPIONSHIP. The Edge chose the ASA NATIONAL BID as the Earthquake was awarded The Bid to the HALL OF FAME TOURNEY for the second time(stadium pictured below) and are currently looking for a PITCHER and another potential player to be added to their already loaded roster of talent. EMAIL US IF INTRESTED IN PITCHING for us. We have great defense and great catchers-The coaches are a little warped but other than that this could be your calling. Nice job QUAKE!

Congrats to the current and former EQ families . We are the longest standing TRAVEL fastpitch softball organization in Evansville and surrounding area AND SECOND LONGEST IN THE STATE OF INDIANA. We have conducted open tryouts all of those years. Other organizations who say they have been around for longer have not! Other teams have players listed who never picked up a glove in college. But those were fine kids and High school players.

Our college player list will be continuely updated and is available to see on the website. These are players who played a year or longer for the quake. The players who have played for us at one time or another are named. Wether there are 35 OR 85 they are real people that some of you know and most of you have heard of.
Our 18u coach of a few years,Tami Marlow "01-"03 moved out of town and is currently getting her players schools and names lined out to add to the list which hasnt been updated for a while. The list will jump up tremendously. We had young 18u teams(mostly 16u's) just about everyone of those seasons that Tami coached as we do now. The new list is coming soon so please check in for updates on "players to the next level", if we left you off please let us know as some of you have already......we have TWO class A 18u teams so that number will increase in the next couple of years . We also have a talented group at 16u GOLD.
