2011 Season News

1.    Website-Keep an eye on the website for the latest updates and practice changes.  Our website is www.eastvalleyvbc.com.  If the East Valley School District is closed due to weather, no practice will be held that day.  Try to check the website for any last minute changes.

2.    Referee Clinic-All players and coaches are required to attend a referee/scorekeeping clinic.  We will schedule all players as soon as the region lets us know the dates and times.  Please check the website often for the dates as they are usually the beginning of January.  The region prefers teams go together, however, if you cannot attend on the date we have selected, please contact Patti right away to reschedule.  If a player does not attend, they cannot play.

3.    Practices –January practice schedules have been posted to the website and a hard copy is also attached.

4.    Tournaments- Tournaments have been selected and a copy of your team’s schedule is attached.  We will provide details on each tournament (arrival time, exact location, etc.) the week of each tournament or when we get it from the tournament director.  It is not uncommon for us to receive information the day before the tournament, so please be sure to check the website.

5.    Warm-ups for Players – Warm-ups and jerseys have been ordered.  We expect to have all items to the players by their first tournament.  Unfortunately, some items always end up on back-order but we will do our best to have them as quickly as possible.

6.    Club Apparel- This year we will offer t-shirts (both short sleeve and long sleeve) to all fans!  Attached is an order form for you to complete if you wish to order any items.  The order form must be turned in by Monday, January 13th.  We know this is short notice, but we must allow 2-3 weeks for the order and we would like to have them as early as possible.  There WILL NOT be a 2nd order placed, so please be sure to order if you want something.  If you have any questions at all, please call Denelle at 768-2722.

7.    Team Extras – Some teams have parents or companies who help sponsor their team. They use the sponsorship money for extra items such as team bags or backpacks.  Other teams have all gone together to purchase hair ribbons or socks.  This does not need to be done, but if a team wants to do something extra, please feel free to do so.

8.    EV Hosted Tournaments – We are hosting two tournaments this year; a U-12 on 1/22 and U-16 on 1/23.  This is the main way our club earns extra money to keep our fees low and to pay for balls, carts and other necessary items.  We expect all players to help out with the tournament in some capacity.  We need parents/players to help with set-up/tear down and also during the tournament itself. We also will need families to donate food items to sell in our concession stands.  We will have a sign-up sheet available for all parents and players to complete during the first week of practice.  If you want to sign-up now, please click on the handout link below and turn in your form during the first week of practice.
