The Yankees capture the 2009 Majors Division Championship!

The Yankees defeated the Angels one of the best games played this year, 1-0, to capture the 2009 Major League Championship.  Vincent L pitched 5 shutout innings, and scored the winning run on a passed ball.  Mike M closed out a 1-2-3 6th to end the game. 

David P pitched a gem for the Angels, surrendering only one run.  Tim L closed out the game to keep the Angels in striking distance.  Both teams played great defense.

For the Yanks, Zach A went 2-2.  Zach M did not allow a stolen base, catching a complete game.  Excellent defensive plays were made by Griffin, Tyler, Philip and Gabe.

Thanks to Ahkim, Javar, Patrick, Shawn, Gabe, Griffin, Zach A, Tyler, Mike, Philip, Zach M, and Vincent for an excellent 14-2 season!  The team also would like to thank Manager Alberto, Coach Mike, "Bench Coaches" Andy and Rich, and all of the parents and fans that supported the team at every game.

East Ramapo Wins 2008 Fall Ball Championship!

East Ramapo Mets Capture 2008 Fall Ball Championship!

11.03.08: The East Ramapo Mets defeated the New City Mets 14 - 2 to capture the 2008 "A" Division Fall Ball District 18 Championship.  East Ramapo won their fifth game in a row behind strong pitching performances by Kevin M and Vincent L, who each went three innings giving up a combined 4 hits.

East Ramapo's victory was a complete team effort with each player scoring at least one run during a 17 hit attack.  DJ (3 RS, 2 RBI), Zach M (1 RS 4 RBI) and Gabe had three hits each, while Karl went 2/3 with a triple and 2 runs scored.  Zach A (1 RS, 1 RBI), Mike (1 RS, 3 BB, 1 RBI), Ahkim (1 RS, 1 RBI) and Ricardo (1 RS, 1RBI) rounded out the scoring.

After the game, the team celebrated with a Pizza Party, where they recevied game balls and the championship trophies.  Congratulations East Ramapo Mets, Coaches & their parents for a great year!

YOUR EAST RAMAPO AAA ASTROS WON THE TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS OF THE MINOR LEAGUE OF ROCKLAND COUNTY

SUNDAY JUNE 29, 2008:- The score was 10-6 against the reigning champs of three years the Ramapo Yankees. Starting pitcher was Timothy L, relief was David P and John H to end the game. Daniel R had an excellent game behind the plate letting only three or four balls go past him to hold the stealing to a minimum. Also, throwing one runner out at second base. The Astro's put up a solid infield and the outfield coming up big with a couple fly ball outs.

We would like to thank all of the East Ramapo fans, coaches, and families that came out to support us. A special you to Ralph Zampini and his family for coming out and watching every one of our games and all the great thank work he has done to our field. A special thanks goes out to Ron, Haley, David Diaz, Mark Woodbine, Jim TenEyck, Thomas Hisciano, Alberto Miraz, Ozzie Santana and family, Ben Diss and family, and everyone who came out to support us this evening. We appreciated the cheers and applause as it totally encouraged the AAA Astros to push for the win in the game.

From now on, the East Ramapo Astros of 2008 are forever imbedded in the Michael McRobbie Memorial Tournament of Champions trophy.

Majors Yankees defeat the New City Cardinals to advance to semi-finals!

Majors Yankees defeat the New City Cardinals to advance to semi-finals in the Haverstraw Tournament of Champions! 

June 24 - Vincent L struck out 14 in a dominating pitching performance, and added a double and run scored, to lead the Yankees over the New City Cardinals.  Zach M led the offense with two doubles, an RBI and run scored, while not allowing a stolen base or passed ball to keep New City from scoring late in the game.  Ahkim S drove in a clutch insurance run.  The defense made all of the plays in the field, and Mike M closed out the 6th with 2 K's through the top of the order.  Tyler M made a fine defensive play to nail the lead runner, keeping a run from eventually scoring.
