For those who were at last year's Cambridge tournament (we won it), our opening league game on May 22 is in the same park but on the big field at the far west end.
Hwy 401 west
Exit at Hwy 24 (Exit 282)
Turn left on Hwy 24 and continue to the first light, Eagle Street and turn right.
There is an Esso station on the corner. (Tim Horton's on this corner also)
Take Eagle Street to Speedsville Road (Weide Motors on the corner) and turn right.
Follow Speedsville Rd. over the tracks and over a bridge. Look for park entrance on the left. (Rogers Drive)
Follow Rogers Drive to the farthest soccer field.
You will pass a cluster of buildings (real washrooms) on the way.
There are good spectator stands.
This is a fairly big field at 110 x 70 yds. It is high and dry and generally in good shape.
Behind our field and through the woods is an interesting conservation area with wooden walkways through marshland and near a river. Keep an eye on the little ones who come along.

This is the least confusing route to take:
410 North
Exit at Williams Parkway and go left.
Follow along and turn left on Rutherford Road.
Then turn left on Archdekin Drive (residential street). The field is on the right.
There is small parking lot along the side of our field called Century 1 (the one with lights). You will still need to walk to the opposite side for gate access.
Alternately, you can go past Archdekin and turn left on Vodden Street. This will bring you to the main entrance to this large sports complex and the arena.
Washrooms are available in the arena close to our field. It is expected to be open for our event.

HAAA - Hamilton
HAAA = Hamilton Amateur Athletic Association
I took a ride to the field today....
Glad I did....It took we 45 min to reach the field area and 30 min to find my way to parking.
Welcome to the world of Hamilton's one way street system.
From Mississauga...
403 Hamilton via QEW or 407 (there is construction on the QEW around Burlington)
Exit 403 at Main Street E in Hamilton
Turn right on Queen Street (2nd or 3rd light)
Turn right on Robinson Street - short distance (there is a "Coin Op Laundry" on the corner).
Robinson St. dead ends at Ryerson School. Parking is to the right when you approach the school.
The field is on the opposite side of the school. You can access via either end of the school.
This is a big field, but not in very good shape with an uneven surface and considerable wear.
A couple of photos are attached.
The field is lined for soccer and football, so we all need to be careful about which lines we are dealing with in the penalty area. The lines are all about 6" wide so the ball has to go a long way to get out on the sidelines.
There are no player benches and no spectator stands.
The park has washroom facilities in a small building and may (or not) be open during our game.
From what I can see Tim Horton's is on King Street (the one way street back to the 403)
Game time is 8:30 pm. Please be on the field by 7:45 latest ready to play. Allow for delay please.
To return home, go back out on Robinson Street, turn right (one way) onto Queen. Turn right on Charleton Avenue and travel over to Locke Street. Continue on Locke past Main St. and over to King Street West. Turn left and then get over to the right side for the 403 Toronto exit ramp.

HERITAGE GREEN 3
A beautiful facility - we can only dream.
As of July.05 there are 3 lit fields here.....soon to be 15.....plus 8 baseball diamonds, a 9 hole and 18 hole golf course coming.
The most expedient route is Hwy 407/QEW or QEW to Centennial Parkway (Hwy 20). Exit right and travel 7 km up the mountain.
Turn right on Green Mountain Road (you are in the country), bear left as you hit the dead end and enter the park gate.
Lots of parking.
Fields are irrigated, about 70 X 115 metres and in very good shape.
I couldn't tell which was Field 3 but they are all close to the parking lot.
There are portos near the fields plus real plumbing in the main building.
NO SPECTATOR SEATING - BRING CHAIRS
PLAYER BENCHES CAN HOLD ABOUT 4 PLAYERS - BRING EXTRA SEATING FOR THE BENCH
Count on lots of insects to animate evening play.
When you leave the park, exit right (First Road West) and go up to Mud Road. This provides traffic lights to control your return to Hwy 20.
(This is also the route to the Tim Horton's/Wendy full service facility 1 km from the field on the corner of Mud Road and Hwy 20 - access via Mud Road).
Turn left at the light and then left again onto Hwy 20 (Centennial Parkway). Go back down the mountain to the QEW.

MITCHELSON
MITCHELSON NIAGARA
Route is similar as that to Oakes Park.
407/QEW to Niagara
Exit at Thorold Stone Road (Exit 32)
Turn left at the top of the exit
Turn left at the first light (Dorchester)
Turn right at the first street called Isaac
This will bring you up to the front of St. Paul High School
Parking is around to the left of the school
The field is directly behind the school
Mitchelson field is another pristine Niagara field (Mississauga can only dream)
Full sized at 70 x 120 with barely a scratch on it.
There are bleachers down both sides of the field and no specific player benches. We'll have to wait until we get there to find out where we will set our bench. We certainly won't be anywhere near the spectator crowd.
There appear to be public washrooms in this expansive park along with lots of space to warm up on the other side of the field.
Restaurants, Tim Horton's, etc are further down Thorold Stone Road

MOHAWK 2
QEW or 407 to Hwy 403 Hamilton.

Travel along Mohawk to Upper Kenilworth (stop sign). Turn right.
Travel along Upper Kenilworth past the baseball and soccer grandstands.
You can turn left after the grandstand and park in the lot in front of the main building or you can keep along Upper Kenilworth and go into the far lot on the other side of the fields that face Upper Kenilworth.

MOUNT JOY
Plan on at least an hour of travel time from my house.
I travelled the 407 toll road to the Markham Road exit and turned north (left).
Travel 3 km North along Markham Rd (aka Main St, aka Hwy48) through the Village of Markham to 16th Avenue. (Esso on SW corner, Tim Horton's on NW corner)
Turn R on 16th Avenue and travel half km looking for the entrance to Mount Joy Community Centre on the left. If you pass the High School you have gone too far.
As you enter the driveway, park in front of the building on the left. Half is a rink, half is an indoor field.
This field is similar to Ken Giles, although it seems smaller (lights were low) see pics.
Alternate taxpayer route is 401/404 exit at Hwy 7 travel East (right) to Markham Rd, turn left and travel 2km N to 16th Avenue.

OAKES PARK - NIAGARA
This trip took me 1 hr and 15 minutes in mid-day traffic. (Isabelle can probably do it in 45 min.)
Hwy 407/QEW to Hamilton/Niagara
Exit at Thorold Stone Road (Exit 32)
Turn left at the top of the ramp.
Travel 2 km on Thorold Stone Road to Drummond Road
(this corner is a bit confusing - it is called Portage Rd if you turn left and Drummond Rd. if you turn right)
There is a "Double/Double Chicken joint on the corner. Tim Horton's and McDonalds are just through the intersection.
Turn right on Drummond Road.
Continue on Drummond Rd. for 1 km to Morrison Rd
Turn left on Morrison
Continue on Morrison for 1 km
Look for the field on the right side.
Plenty of parking, bear right as you enter the park.
Small, but many spectator bleachers are next to the parking area.
A good quality running track surrounds the field and interferes with corner kick placements (check this out and practice before game time)
There are small player benches on the field edge and close to the track. Our shelter will have to be set up on the other side of the track.
There is a limited practice space around the field at the far end. The first team in the space will own it........so be early.
The field is in excellent condition (better than Twin). 120 yds x 70 yds full size.
Washrooms are close by in the baseball stadium next door.
I stopped into Mack O'Rooney's for lunch, about halfway down Thorold Stone Rd on the right side. A good spot if anyone plans to go early and eat down there (not too soon before game time please....

QEW NIAGARA to Niagara Street (Exit #44 after Lake Street).
Keep right as you come off the highway because the exit lane forks.
When you get to the top of the ramp turn left on Niagara Street.
Follow Niagara Street north for 1 km.
You will turn right at Carlton Street. There is a Lions Club floral on the corner to designate the park.
Ample parking is just on the left side. This is closest to the bleachers.
The bleachers are looking into the setting sun on this field.
I will probably park a bit further down on Niagara Street which is closer to the players' benches so don't be looking for my van in the main lot.
If you travel 1 km further north on Niagara you will reach Scott Street. Turn left here for a variety of options. Tim Horton's is 1/2 km down on Scott St.
We are playing on the "West" field which is the one on the left side as you come into the main parking lot.
This is a great park with public washrooms, bocce courts, big playground and lots of space.
The field is 120 x 70 yds and is in great condition.

Travel by QEW to Guelph line South.
Look for Woodward Street (stoplight) and shortly after the intersection turn right into the Central Park driveway. The field is about 60 yds in from the parking lot.
This is an unlit field 110 x 70. It is surrounded by trees so bring out the bug spray.
Spectator seating is minimal.
There is a playground near the parking lot.
PRESTON HIGH SCHOOL FIELD 2
RIM PARK WATERLOO FIELD S11
This facility is something else!
4 rinks, 4 gyms, 3 indoor soccer fields, plus, plus....
There is a Williams Coffee Pub plus a Pizza Pizza (plus burgers etc), outlet inside the facility.
Washroom facilities are inside.
There are 6-8 outdoor soccer fields here. Unfortunately none are lit or irrigated.
The grass seems to be in pretty good shape although a bit dry.
Bechtel at least was lit and watered.
Spectator stands exist, facing into the setting sun. There is no shade or shelter on the field.
Playground is right next to our field.
Directions:
401 to Hwy 8 west to Hwy 86 to Waterloo.
Exit at University Avenue East bearing to the right.
You will shortly hit Bridge Street (Tim Horton's is just down on the right corner).
Follow straight up University Avenue from Bridge Street for 3.5 km.
You will see the Sportsplex on your right (can't miss it)
The fields are at the far end of the complex. Our field, S11, is closest to the building. There is parking right beside the field.
On Sunday morning (without traffic and without the 3 construction zones along the way operating) the trip took 50 minutes over 90km.
Please allow yourself 1.5 hours in rush hour travel time at least.

MOUNT HAMILTON FIELD

Travel time was 40 minutes mid-day via 407/403 Hamilton. Distance is 60 km from Winston Churchill/403.
DIRECTIONS
407 or QEW to 403 Hamilton
Stay on 403 up the mountain and exit at Lincoln Alexander Parkway at the top of the hill.
The Parkway bears left.
Carry along the Parkway and exit at Upper Wentworth.
Turn left at the top of the exit.
Travel along Upper Wentworth for about 1 km. Go past Mohawk Rd (Pizza Pizza on the corner)
Just after you pass Mohawk Road look for the Sackville Seniors Community Centre on the left. This is where you will park. The field is easily accessible from the lot.
If you see the Sackville Park sign and lots of mini-fields on the left you have gone too far.
There is an antiquated set of concrete bleachers on the field (see photo) but this is well removed from the field. Perhaps a good spot to video tape the game if anyone is interested.
Lots of space for conventional personal seating along the side of the field if you want to be closer to the action.
There are player benches.
There are washrooms below the bleachers which hopefully will be open.
The field is a bit better (not much) than the HAAA field. it is 65 x 115 yds - short corners. Goal areas are worn.
(Tim Horton's sit down is on the left just after you get off the highway. There is a drive-thru further up on the right. McDonalds also on the left.)
I'm sure there are other eateries in the neighbourhood if you venture around.

Turn right after the exit (away from the lake)
Turn right on Sherwood Park Road (residential area)
Park is at the end of the road.
Field #2 is the farthest field from the parking lot (of course)
Field #1 is a beautiful field, high and dry, with quality spectator bleachers.
Unfortunately we are not scheduled to play on this one.
You walk (wade) past this one to get to field #2
If the weather has been wet wear your boots even on the path.
Field #2 is a 110 yd x 65 yd swamp. Pray for dry weather on the next 3 weeks.
From what I can see this field will swamp with the slightest rainfall.
The bleachers on field 2 are leaning back 20 degrees. Pack your own seating.
The player benches are literally next to each other. Hopefully the ref will allow us to move our "technical area" (we have to stay within a yard of it)
The benches also have a water filled gorge in front of each.
There is real plumbing in the park.
There is a swing/slide area near the parking lot - well away from the field.
