JANET CHARTNEY
HEAD COACH

Coach Chartney grew up in Edmond, OK.  Her parents are Kay and Sid Chartney.  She has one brother Mark and one sister Gaylynn.  Mark has two sons, Kevin and Kyle.  Kevin is married to his high school sweetheart Christina and they have a new son Bryce who is one year old.  Gaylynn is married to Mark Spear and has two daughters, Chartney and Bailee.  Coach Chartney has one princess dog, Golden Kay Chartney (Goldie) who is 14 years old.

Coach Chartney attended Edmond Public schools all twelve years.  She graduated from Edmond Memorial in 1979.  She attended CSU on a full ride softball scholarship from 1979 - 1984.  She started teaching in Edmond in 1992 at Russell Dougherty and EMHS.  She went to Angie Debo Elementary when it opened in 1994 and is still teaching at Angie Debo. 

Coach Chartney started coaching softball at EMHS in 1993.  The Lady Dogs won the State Championship her first year with a record of 40 - 3.  They won 35 games in a row.  The Lady Dogs were State Runner Up in 2001-2002 and 2004-2005.  She is in her 16th year of coaching with a record of 457 - 189.  Coach Chartney also coaches Freshman Basketball at EMHS.  She started coaching basketball in 1998 and has a record of 150 - 45.

LINDSAY TRIPP
ASSISTANT COACH

Coach Tripp grew up in Edmond with parents Kim and Jay Tripp.  She has one sister Laci.  She attended Edmond Public Schools all twelve years.  She played softball throughout her life finishing her young career with the successful summer team Stealth.

Coach Tripp graduated in 2002 from EMHS.  She played softball at EMHS leading her team to a state runner up finish in 2002.  She attended UCO on a full ride softball scholarship from 2002 - 2006 and played on the team that played in the Regional Tournament in 2006.  She graduated from UCO in 2008.

Coach Tripp has been employed by PF Changs since 2004.  She started coaching softball at EMHS in 2007.

MARCUS ALTSTATT
ASSISTANT COACH

A 1986 graduate of Edmond Memorial High School, Coach Altstatt attended the University of Central Oklahoma where he earned a degree in math education.  He was the graduate assistant on the 1992 and 1993 Memorial High School State Championship Baseball teams.  Coach Altstatt has been a teacher and coach at Edmond Memorial High School for 20 years.  He and his wife, Adys, have a daughter, Christina.

SID CHARTNEY
PAPA CHART!

Sid grew up in Harrah, OK and attended schools in Jones, Luther, and graduated from Arcadia High School.  He married his high school sweetheart Kay Smith.  The love of his life, Kay, passed in January, 1995. 

PaPa Chart has a son Mark with two sons Kevin and Kyle.  Kevin is married to his high school sweetheart Christina and has a new son Bryce who is one year old.  Sid has two daughters Gaylynn and Janet.  Gaylynn and her husband Mark have two daughters Chartney and Bailee.  Papa Chart is the NUMBER ONE FAN and head grounds crew/concession stand worker.
