Major League Rules 2009
- The following rules were adapted for regular season play by the Major Coaches from South Harrison, Logan, East Greenwich and Swedesboro-Woolwich on 3/22/09
- Continuous Batting order and no player may sit the bench for more than one consecutive inning.
- No Steal limit – coaches be conscientious of score when stealing (more than 5-tun lead)
- All other Little League Regular season rules apply
- No Infield fly rule

Baseball
- The following rules were adapted for regular season play by the Minor Coaches from South Harrison, Logan, East Greenwich on 3/23/09
- Three (3) attempted base steals per inning and no advancing on an overthrow by catcher on a steal play, plus one (1) home steal = Total of 4 steals per inning. Manager of leading team must be conscious of score when stealing
- Advancing on a wild pitch or over throw back to pitcher is considered a steal.
- There will be a continuous batting order, which means you place all players on your team in the batting lineup and they bat whether they played in the field that inning or not. All players must meet mandatory play which no player may sit the bench for more than one consecutive inning.
- Defensive team may substitute any player to any position at any time except the pitcher may not renter the game as a pitcher once removed from that position.
- Player in the Catcher position may pitch in the same game up to his/her maximum number of allowable pitches and New LL Rule 2009 A Pitcher that delivers fewer than 40 pitches may play the position of Catcher. 41 or more he cannot.
- Little League rules apply to pitch count on how many days rest he/she needs in between.
- Five (5) runs per inning for all innings; do not stop the play. Only record 5 runs if more than 5 score.10 run rule is in effect.
- Two (2) coaches allowed to coach the bases as long as one (1) adult or coach is in the dugout with the players
- Eight (8) warm-up pitches for the pitcher or two (2) minutes
- With the catcher on base with two (2) outs a substitute runner can be used so that the catcher can get equipment on. The sub-runner must be the player who made the last out.
- No leads (ball must reach batter)
- No inning may start beyond 2 hours after start of game. New inning starts at last out. 6 innings maximum are allowed
- No Infield fly rule
(a) Advancing on an overthrow to a pitcher from catcher is a steal
(b) Can not advance on an overthrow of a steal from catcher
(c) Can advance on a pick off – if you have a steal left
(d) 1 base on an overthrow to a base
(e) Once ball is in control in the infield; and runner is stopped, the play is considered dead.

Pitching Rules for Kingsway League Major and Minor Division
Regulation VI - PITCHERS
(a) Any player on a regular season team may pitch. (NOTE: There is no limit to the number of pitchers a team may use in a game.) (b) A pitcher once removed from the mound cannot return as a pitcher.
Junior, Senior, and Big League Divisions only: A pitcher remaining in the game, but moving to a different position, can return as a pitcher anytime in the remainder of the game, but only once per game.(c) The manager must remove the pitcher when said pitcher reaches the limit for his/her age group as noted below, but the pitcher may remain in the game at another position:
League Age:
17-18 105 pitches per day
13-16 95 pitches per day
11-12 85 pitches per day
9-10 75 pitches per day
7-8 50 pitches per day
Exception: Exception: If a pitcher reaches the limit imposed in Regulation VI (c) for his/her league age while facing a batter, the pitcher may continue to pitch until any one of the following conditions occurs: 1. That batter reaches base; 2. That batter is put out; 3. The third out is made to complete the half-inning. Note 1: A pitcher who delivers 41 or more pitches in a game cannot play the position of catcher for the remainder of that day.
NOTE: A player may not pitch in consecutive games. Exception – League Age 16 and under - A player may pitch in consecutive games if 40 or less pitches were delivered in the previous game. League Age 17-18 - A player may pitch in consecutive games if 50 or less pitches were delivered in the previous game.
The Following Option has been chosen as our league mandatory rest requirement:Option 2:
(d) Pitchers league age 16 and under must adhere to the following rest requirements:
• If a player pitches 61 or more pitches in a day, four (4) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 41 - 60 pitches in a day, three (3) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 21 - 40 pitches in a day, two (2) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 1-20 pitches in a day, no (0) calendar day of rest is required.
Pitchers league age 17-18 must adhere to the following rest requirements:
• If a player pitches 76 or more pitches in a day, four (4) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 51 - 75 pitches in a day, three (3) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 26 - 50 pitches in a day, two (2) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 1-25 pitches in a day, no (0) calendar day of rest is required.

Interleague Playing Rules
The following rules were discussed between East Greenwich, South Harrison and Logan Little Leagues in a meeting on 3/22/09.
Minor B – 7-8 Year-olds Coach Pitch
Continuous Batting Order - All players on the roster will be listed in the batting order and bat in turn. Players may be substituted freely on defense. All players on the roster play on defense every inning. Normal infield 1 pitcher 1st,2nd,3rd,short stop and fully equipped catcher. The remaining players all play in the outfield and must be in the grass area of the outfield.
The side will be retired and the half inning over when either 3 outs are recorded or 5 runs are scored, or the complete batting order has been up to bat When the 5th run is scored, the inning does not end until all playing action has ceased. If additional runs score on the last play, only 5 runs will be recorded for the inning.
Batters get up to 7 pitches (on 8th pitch a T is used for 3 more attempts). The batter is out if they do not acquire 1st base by way of a hit, error, or fielder’s choice,or they have received the maximum number of pitches allowed and the 3 batting T attempts.
The infield fly rule is not in effect.
When a hit ball reaches the outfield grass no matter if in the air, on the ground or by way of an error the batter runner may round 1st base and attempt to go to 2nd at her own risk.
A runner may attempt at their own risk to take one and only one base on an overthrow to that base.
With 2 outs, a courtesy runner for the catcher will be used to speed up the game. The player who made the last out will be used as the courtesy runner.
Stealing bases is not permitted. No leads allowed
