Magnuson #7, Seattle, Wa. - B92 Tango dominated Shoreline Pumas from the get go. Aside from a few Pumas advances in the first half, B92 Tango control the pitch with decisive ball possession through out the game. Tango had many scoring opportunities in the first half, but none of the attempts found the back of Pumas net for a scoreless tie at halftime.
In the second half, B92 Tango finally scored by mean of Drew Beland put-back shot after his initial towering header attempt off a corner kick at 57'. An insurance goal was tacked on when Wim sliced through the Pumas back line and calmly placed the ball between two Pumas players at 66'.
After one third of season play, B92 Tango leads its division at 4-0, had given up only one goal, registered 3 consecutive shutout victories and finished September undefeated.

B92 Tango hangs on 1-0 against Titans for 3 straight wins
Bellevue, Wa. - B92 Tango was dominating the entire first half and saw Sahil Khan scored at 25' off a feed from Ryan Deem for a 1-0 lead. Despite other numerous fantastic scoring opportunities, B92 Tango unfortunately did not have more to show on scoreboard.
The table would turn in the second half as the home team put tremendous pressure on the visitors. Three shots on goal from Lake Hills ricocheted off posts and crossbar. Fortunately for B92 Tango, the defensive effort was stout enough to keep the Titans away from the back of the net for a 1-0 shutout win.

B92 Tango shuts out North Kitsap 2-0 on the road
Poulsbo, Wa. - Seattle United B92 Tango made its ferry trip worthwhile with a 2-0 shutout win over Havoc of North Kitsap. Playing back-to-back games in the weekend, B92 Tango broke the ice when outside mid Nick Shriner half-volleyed the ball into the goal from a corner kick by Joe Schoeber.
Playing with a man down due to injury sustained by Pat, the newly acquired central defender Taylor Manthie scored an insurance goal for the visiting team. With the victory, B92 Tango perches on top of the divisional table with 6 points.

B92 Tango opens season with 3-1 win over Crossfire
Redmond, Wa. - The visiting SU Tango arrived 60 Acres field #14 with one sub on the bench and none after 20 minutes into the game, but was determined to pull out a victory against Crossfire Mercado.
Switching divisions with its sister team Crossfire Brazil, the newly promoted Crossfire Mercado tried to keep up with SU Tango for most of first half. With absence of coach Hamel, coach Scott was at the helm as the visitor drew first blood with a beautiful play that saw Jayme crossing the ball from left and Sahil punching it into back of the net at 14' mark. However, Crossfire Mercado answered with an equalizer just before half time.
In the second half, SU Tango pulled ahead 2-1 at 63' as Patrick fired a shot from top of penalty area after gathering a pass from the left from Ryan.
Meanwhile, the physical play by the home team in the first half that had sent Asa off the pitch for the day at 20' mark and threatened to do the same to Felyx at 33', continued in the second half as Crossfire Mercado struggled to deal with the visiting team. Crossfire physicality eventually bordered on criminal assault and climaxed at 73rd minute when a Crossfire player grabbed Ryan from behind with a left arm, head locked with a right and threw him down WWF-style. Surprisingly the infraction only drew a yellow card.
Three minutes after the incident, Cody dribbled the ball up right midfield, looked off a pass to the right, gained separation and fired a frozen rope 25 yards out for SU third and final goal.

Trio of ECFC M92 White Players Named to WesCo All-League
Congratulations to Joe, Felyx and Sahil for being selected to 2010 WesCo All-League First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention respectively. All three players were Honorable Mention last year.
• Joe Schober, WesCo, South Division, First Team: Joe called Shorecrest backfield home during HS soccer season and is a part of the 3A powerhouse that at one time ranked as high as second nationally with 7 consecutive 3A State appearances with title in 2009 and 2005. Though it failed to repeat as 3A State champ this year, Shorecrest still managed to reach quarterfinal, a very respectable finish nevertheless.
• Felyx Tsoi, WesCo, South Division, Second Team: Felyx's zipcode during 2010 spring season is in the back end of Kamiak 4-4-2 formation. Having reached State quarterfinal last year, the Knights were stopped 1 game short of State at 4A District Final against Snohomish 0-1.
• Sahil Khan, WesCo, South Division, Honorable Mention: Lastly, despite Shorewood not making it into post season play this spring, Sahil nevertheless displayed consistency in the midfield for the Thunderbirds thus earning him his second consecutive Honorable Mention recognition.

• Trevor Bartels, Cascade Conference, Offensive Player of the Year: Trevor was key to King's fourth straight 1A State appearance and placed 4th this year and this is his second consecutive first team honor.
• Wim VanBrederode, Metro League, Sound Division, First Team: After fighting through injuries much of 2009/10 club season, Wim bounced back strong as a forward and led Nathan Hale to its third straight 3A State appearance.
• Tucker Benge, Metro League, Mountain Division, Honorable Mention: Tucker played along side fellow ECFC M92 White teammate Ryan Deem as well as coach Hamel's son, Kerry at Bishop Blanchet. Though the Braves had a challenging year, Tucker was solid enough to earn honorable mention.

ECFC 92 White Title Bid Falls Short 2-1 with no Time Left in Regulation
SLIDE SHOW & GAME PHOTOS
Tukwila, Wa. - In contrast to Saturday unseasonably sunny and cheerful weather, the familiar Pacific Northwest frigid and windy condition was a backdrop for the Challenge Cup Gold Final showdown as the designated home team ECFC 92 White hosted Mount Rainier FC 92 Blue Maxey from Sumner.
ECFC 92 White started off with many opportunistic attacks, but Trevor, Jayme, Ryan weren't able to punch one through early in game. The first blood was drawn at 25' mark by MRFC as a free kick from midfield was redirected by an unmarked MRFC forward with his head at right side of ECFC goal and into lower left corner as desperate GK Adam dived unsuccessfully after the ball.
Characteristic of the team, Emerald City immediately answered with a terrific goal as Ryan brought the ball down deep left, crossed to middle, and the unmarked Trevor flew in for a header for an equalizer at 30' mark.
The 1-1 tie would stand from halftime all the way through the final 90th minute of regulation as ECFC's relentless attacks weren't able to convert in to goal and despite having decisive advantage on shot opportunities and possession. In the end, ECFC's defensive mishap afforded MRFC the 2-1 victory as a defender headed ball back to GK on a routine play, but unfortunately the ball went over GK and MRFC player tapped the ball into the net for an anticlimatic conclusion for an otherwise successful 2009-10 campaign for ECFC M92 White.

ECFC 92 White Shuts Out SCFC Crew 3-0 in Semi-Final
Tukwila, Wa. - ECFC 92 White defeated South County FC 92 Crew at Starfire and moves on to tomorrow Championship game at 4:15pm.
Sahil created plays effectively as Trevor provided ECFC first score less than 5 minutes into the game. Emerald City added a second goal shortly before first half was over. The defense worked hard and Adam earned his first shutout with ECFC. During an advance with less than a minute left in game, Asa passed to Sahil whom in turn assisted to Felyx for the final third goal for ECFC.
The game against South County (Kent) team resulted in half a dozen cards of variety colors. A couple of reds were given out to both an ECFC and a SCFC player after a second half PK by SCFC that just missed to low to the right. Unfortunately for ECFC, it will be playing with one less player on the roster in Championship game.

ECFC 92 White Wins Q-Final 5-2 Over HPFC 92 Blue
SLIDE SHOW & GAME PHOTOS
Seattle, Wa. - At the start of the cup quarter-final match between Highline Premier FC and ECFC, the visiting team came out with numerous attacks early on and created several good scoring chances, but with skills, team work, and a lttle luck, GK Adam and ECFC defense were able to put out all fire. With what appeared like offside trap strategy played by Highline Premier, ECFC broke through as Trevor came up with an easy goal at 21' mark. In a similar fashion at 29', Ryan put ECFC up by 2 goals which immediately drew protests from the 2 HPFC irated coaches and a few Highline fans.
After the situation was calmed down by center ref and an ejection of a HPFC fan, play resumed. Getting burned twice from its defensive strategy, HPFC went straight up and the two teams battled back and forth without success until Jayme put one in back of net with less than 1 minute left before halftime.
Jayme would stay in form and scored his second goal just 1 minute into second half and gave ECFC a comfortable 4-0 lead. At 53' mark, Jayme completed a hat trick with his third goal of the game. Highline salvaged couple goals late in game to avoid a complete shutout.
With the 5-2 win, ECFC 92 White moves in to group A Gold semi-final against SCFC 92 Crew at Starfire this Saturday March 6th at time yet to be determined.

ECFC 92 White Beats Evergreen 3-2 to Win Group
SLIDE SHOW and GAME PHOTOS
Everett, Wa. - Despite numerous attacks early and often by Emerald City 92 White, Evergreen went up 1-0 by halftime when an Evergreen player blantantly decked an ECFC defender, bought himself all the time in the world, and fired one from 30 yards away while ECFC players were expecting a foul call and caught off guard as the ball sailed just below the crossbar.
Shortly after second half started, Evergreen pulled ahead again for a 2-0 lead when an Evergreen player put the ball over the closing ECFC keeper Adam and another EVG attacker finished the play. Determined to fight on, ECFC kept attacking and earning countless corner kicks that did not produce results. At 60' mark however, Jayme directed a header in front of EVG goal box and past EVG keeper, but an EVG defender blocked the ball with his right arm. A red card was pulled and Sahil finished off the PK for ECFC first goal of the game.
Ten minutes later in one of many furious, relentless attacks by ECFC inside EVG goal box, Kevin put an equalizer into the net.
With continual attacks, ECFC kept on pressuring EVG defense, but with time running out, ECFC had to hurry. With less than one minute left, Trevor pounded one from just outside EVG goal box, EVG keeper was not able to react in time and the ball richocheted off an EVG defender and into the goal for ECFC winning goal.
With this victory, ECFC won its group and earned a 2 week bye with next game scheduled for Feb. 28th against an opponent yet to be determined.

ECFC 92 White Opens Cup Play with a 1-1 Tie against Tacoma United
SLIDE SHOW and GAME PHOTOS
Seattle, Wa. - Despite a dominant play on the pitch by ECFC White, the home team was unable to make a dent in the first half and settled for a 0-0 halftime score. Taking advantage of an ECFC defensive mishap, the visiting Tacoma United drew the first blood with a goal from the right early in second half. Sensing urgency, Emerald City front line kept pounding and in combination of Tacoma rough play that resulted in 2 yellow cards (take down of Patrick and Trevor,) Sahil converted a PK (twice due to a do-over) late in the game to salvage a first round tie.

ECFC 92 White Comes From Behind to Tie Whatcom 2-2
Bellingham, Wa. - ECFC 92 White played with strong wind in its back in first half, but did not put that advantage to good use as halftime was punctuated with a scoreless tie.
Early in second half, despite have saved two goals early in game, GK Felyx let it one goal as Whatcom forward was able to turn and shoot pass ECFC defender inside penalty box. Less that 5 minutes later, a Ranger forward was fouled by a group of ECFC defenders that resulted in a PK in which Whatcom scored and went up 2-0.
ECFC would stage a valiant comeback. At forward left, Jayme finished off Sahil's pass from the front right to close the gap to 2-1. With less than 5 minutes left in game, a strong shot from Trevor would sail pass the reach of Whatcom GK reach and just below the crossbar for the equalizer.
ECFC 92 White ended its 2009 regular 10-game State League season with W-L-T record of 4-2-4, 16 points, and CAP of 8.07 which is good enough for 3rd place in the 11-team division behind NW United and Sun City.

BlackhillsFC Hands ECFC92White First Road Defeat 0-1
Olympia, Wa. - ECFC 92 White's journey down I-5 did not yield a pleasant result as the home team Blackhills FC handed coach Hamel's team its first road defeat of the season. Despite coming up at the wrong end of the 0-1 final score, ECFC dominated time of possession, corner kicks, and shot-on-goals. Unfortunately ECFC was not able to convert those opportunities into goal while it only took Blackhills FC one improbable shot well beyond goal box that beat ECFC GK Felyx to the top right corner in first half for the eventual game winner.
As the 2009-10 Washington State League is winding down, ECFC 92 White has earned a CAP of 7.93 with a 3-2-3 W-L-T record which placed it 5th (was 3rd last week) and still right on the tail of 3rd and 4th place Blackhills FC (7.98) and Norpoint FC (7.97) respectively.

ECFC 92 White Fought Norpoint 92 to a 4-4 Tie
Tukwila, Wa. - In the second meeting between these two teams, ECFC White and Norpoint 92, ECFC uncharacteristically gave up a goal even before some of the spectators were comfortably seated. Digging itself into a deeper hole was when Norpoint pulled ahead 2-0 10 minutes later.
At 25' mark, Trevor scored ECFC first goal of the game by dribbling from midfield and fired from right side of Norpoint goal. 3 minutes later, Jayme tied it up with yet another shot from the right.
With the momentum going ECFC side, Tucker would give ECFC its first lead of the game at 3-2 when he scored the PK to the lower left corner at 30' mark after being tackled, sat on and fouled by Norpoint defender #23. However an impossible goal from Norpoint #18 before halftime, with 3 ECFC defenders blanketing him at deep right corner, would tie things up again at 3-3 at the 37' mark.
In the second half, Jayme would score ECFC 4th goal at the 55' mark. Despite scoring season high of 4 goals, unfortunately ECFC was only able to get a draw with Norpoint at 4-4.

ECFC 92 White Suffers First Lost of Season 3-1
Seattle, Wa. - Despite ECFC 92 White early furries of attacks, the visiting NW United Caro from Skagit scored early in the game and added another just before end of first half for a 2-0 lead.
ECFC fought hard out of the gate in second half and one seemingly a sure goal with Wim sending Kevin's pass into the net was called back for an offside (photo below courtesy Steve Deem.) Nevertheless ECFC was able to break through with a goal when Jamie gathered a long boot from Felyx and shot it pass NW United keeper.
NW United added another goal in second half and ECFC charged back trying to come back with many scoring opportunities. However, ECFC was not able to convert opportunities into goals as the final score stood 3-1.

ECFC 92 White Back on Winning Track with 2-1 Win
SLIDE SHOW & GAME PHOTOS
Edmonds, Wa. - ECFC 92 White went up against stiff competition in Northwest National at Edmonds Stadium. NWN tested ECFC defense often at beginning of the contest, but never got through in the first half. Meanwhile, playing GK for the fourth game this season, Felyx held the fort while the defense holding on tight as first half concluded with a scoreless tie.
Despite playing against the wind in the second half, ECFC finally put one in the net as Joe headed one in at 47' mark off a rebound from initial header attempt by Trevor.
For the rest of second half, NWN applied constant pressure with many shots on goal, but ECFC GK was able to denied them all until 75' mark when a NWN free kick sailed over ECFC defensive wall and into right top corner of goal.
With the score tied up at one a piece, the two side went at each other hard. ECFC finally earned a corner kick at the 83' mark and with a little luck, a NWN player bicycle kicked the ball into his own goal for an ECFC 2-1 lead, a score that stood as final.

ECFC 92 White At 2-0-2 After 4 Games
With the 2-1 victory over Northwest National on Sunday, ECFC 92 White is now 2-0-2 (W-L-T) after 4 games with 8 points. Of interesting note is that the team had allowed only 2 goals in the process; the lowest goal allowed in division.

ECFC 92 White Battles Eastside FC to a Scoreless Tie
Shoreline, Wa. - It was a case of better team on the pitch not necessarily win the match as ECFC 92 White out shot Eastside FC with many wonderful opportunities, but failed to convert. Coming off a 1-1 tie against Sun City a week before, ECFC had to settle for yet another home tie against Eastside FC.
ECFC had a great opportunity to go on top right before halftime when an ECFC player was fouled inside Eastside FC 18-meter box. Unfortunately the PK went over top right goal post.
Despite many ECFC advances in second half, most notably some great passing that resulted in Jayme's header bouncing off lower right goal post, Eastside FC had an opportunity to take the lead when ECFC was called fouled inside its own penalty box. Playing GK for the third game in place of injured Carlos, Felyx was able to stop the PK as ECFC escaped a possible loss to a team they seemingly able to beat.

ECFC 92 White Revenge of Sun City Falls Short 1-1
Seattle, Wa. - The game at Garfield High School between ECFC 92 White and Sun City Strikers from Yakima marks the second time the two teams played each other in one month. Hoping to avenge a 5-2 loss at Pacific Coast Challenge tournament in Bellingham, ECFC came out of the gate quickly as Patrick, Trevor, and Jayme put lots of pressure on Sun City defense early and ECFC went up 1-0 with a header from Cody at 5' mark.
ECFC defense hung tough the remainder of first half while holding the lead. Rough plays by the visitors were evident and eventually resulted in a yellow card on a Sun City player. Playing keeper for second consecutive game, Felyx made enough saves to preserve ECFC 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Sun City came out swinging and kept ECFC on its heels. Despite a second yellow against a Sun City player was pulled at 82' mark, the visiting team finally scored an equalizer 3 minutes later as an unmarked Sun City forward nailed one at top right corner of the goal. The game ended in a 1-1 tie and 1 point each for the 2 teams.

ECFC 92 White Opens League Play With 1-0 Road Win
Walla Walla, Wa. – ECFC 92 White made its 570 miles trip worthwhile with a win against BMSC Earthquakes at Walla Walla Community College that recorded 91 degree at kickoff.
ECFC White had some nice scoring opportunities during the first half, but was not able to put one in the net by end of first half. Enduring Earthquakes rough plays that included 2 yellows, Emerald City boys dodged a near goal by BMSC just before half time as ECFC defense came through with a clearance.
After the break, ECFC finally punched through with a goal as Jayme’s header redirected Kevin’s kick from the right and pass BMSC keeper into the far left corner at 80’ mark. ECFC defended the lead successfully the rest of the game to earn season opener victory. Felyx earned a clean sheet in goal while subbing for injured Carlos. All in all, it was a terrific team effort.
