Volunteer Positions & Descriptions
EBBCLA Appreciates Volunteers
In order to spread the burden of managing our organization we need everyone to help out with the league work at least once during the season. The following is a list and brief description of the many opportunites we have available. Some require as little as 1 hour all season long, others more involved but nothing too taxing or time consuming.
LEAGUE UNIFORM COORDINATOR BOYS/GIRLS (2 separate positions): 1 per league division
Work with Gob Shop to coordinate boy’s or girls uniform orders & numeration.
LEAGUE VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR: 1 per league Work with league & assistant to organize volunteers. LEAGUE ASSISTANT VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR: 1 per league Work with league & volunteer coordinator to organize volunteers. LEAGUE PUBLICIST: -1 per league Gather results from team score reporters & report to local papers. LEAGUE EQUIPMENT MANAGER BOYS/GIRLS (2 separate positions): 1 per league division Conduct inventory of Boys & Girls equipment with Administration at open & close of Season. LEAGUE JAMBOREE CO-CHAIR: -2 per league Help plan event & coordinate Jamboree volunteers. LEAGUE JAMBOREE ASST: 4 per league Coordinate donations for Jamboree with Team Parents & Snack Managers. LEAGUE WEBMASTER: 1 per league Update website regularly & post cancellations. LEAGUE NET TRANSPORTER: 1 per league Must have vehicle with hitch to transport nets to and from storage ASSISTANT BOYS DIRECTOR: 1 per league Assist Boys Director to facilitate all operations of the EBBCLA BOYS lacrosse program. LEAGUE PRE-SEASON COORDINATOR: 1 per league Assist coaches with pre-season scheduling. TEAM LIASON: 1 per team Send info from coaches to parents, coordinate parent volunteers within team. JAMBOREE HELP: 4 per team Donate an hour or two at the Jamboree end of year setting up, serving or cleaning up. SCORE REPORTER: 1 per team Report team scores weekly to League Publicist. SNACK MANAGER: 1per team Create schedule for snack providers, coordinate team donations to Jamboree. SNACK PROVIDER: varies 2-4 per team Provide snacks to team on game days on rotating basis. GOALIE SUPPORT: 2 per team Help goalie warm up by practicing shots before game. Two per team. HOME FIELD MONITOR: varies 2-4 per team Pick up trash after game/practices. PHOTOGRAPHER: 1 or 2 per team Take digital photos and send electronically to webmaster to be posted to our website. HEAD COACH: 1 per team Approved By Board of Directors ASSISTANT COACH: 1 or 2 per team Work directly with the players improving skills under the direction of the Head Coach. (Must be able to attend most practices & games) LEGAL HELPER- Assist with documentation of coaching, league and insurance regulations as set forth by RI Lax, US Lacrosse ans EBBCLA By-Laws. 1 per league LEAGUE ADMINISTRATOR - EBBCLA Board Appointed-1 per league CHAIRPERSON - Pre-Season Coach Orientation- 1 per league GIRLS & BOYS DIRECTORS - EBBCLA Board Elected- 1 per league division SECRETARY - EBBCLA Board Elected Member - 1 per league VICE CHAIRPERSON - EBBCLA Board Elected Member- 1 per league TREASURER - EBBCLA Board Elected Member -1 per league
