EBL: Welcome
Eastchester Baseball League is excited about the upcoming Spring 2011 "in-house" baseball season. The League has frozen registration fees for several years now and 2011 will be no different. We have expanded age eligibility to include players 13 years old, up to and including, players 18 years old. Last Year, we underwent a massive infield modification project at great expense and our field is now among the best around! Everyone who sees it marvels at how well manicured it is! The League anticipates fielding several summer travel teams. The number of teams depends on the amount of interest and commitment from the players and their families. The League is exploring the prospect of entering these teams in a regional showcase tournament. This would provide players the same quality of competition and exposure of the "pay to play" teams at a fraction of the cost! Plus, you would have the benefit of saving travel by having your home field in your hometown! The last two seasons during the summer the League has sponsored a bus trip to see the Hudson Valley Renegades (Tampa Bay Rays minor League affiliate) play a game at Dutchess County Stadium. The trip includes bus transportation, all you can eat buffet and beverages, and a ticket to the game. All provided free to players courtesy of Eastchester Baseball League. This year we will be running another trip. Space will be limited and on a first come first served basis. The date of the game is
Thursday June 30th
vs. the Brooklyn Cyclones. The Bus leaves our field (Saggese Field) 5PM SHARP!!!!!!!!! to reserve a spot while they last email Bill Kaul at SPN7576@optonline.net

In order to ensure teams are equally competitive, all new players are required to tryout to determine the player’s skill before they are drafted onto a team. Hitting, catching, throwing and running will be evaluated. Please send an e-mail to EBL10709@yahoo.com for date and time. The tryout will be March 12th. Team drafts will take place shortly after the tryouts and the player will be contacted by your manager. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 914-725-1519 or send an e-mail to EBL10709@yahoo.com.
