Eastchester Baseball League celebrated the successful conclusion of another spring Baseball season with Our 1st Annual bus trip to a Renegades baseball games at Dutchess County Stadium. The Renegades are a minor league affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays and their opponents were the Staten Island Yankees. The boys were treated to unlimited food and beverages' as well as, pretzels and cotton candy. Some of the boys won bats while others were given balls by the players and many received autographs from the players too !!!!! A grand time was had by all !!!!!!!!!! The renegades came from behind in the 8th having trailed the whole game and won! Pictures from the outing are on this site for your enjoyment...check 'em out
This year, the Eastchester Baseball League celebrated another successful season. Over the past 50 years we have strived to promote the game of baseball and develop the best players around!
The Eastchester Baseball League is currently accepting applications for the 2009 spring season. If you will be at least 13 years of age but not older than 16 years old prior to April 30, 2009, and reside in Eastchester, Bronxville or Tuckahoe, you are eligible to play. The registration fee is $160.00 per player. (All applications and registration fees must be in prior to January 15, 2009). The season will start in early April and end in late June. You should receive a schedule for practices and games from your Coach once practices begin. If you are a first time player, you must submit a copy of your birth certificate and a current proof of residence (cable bill, phone bill, etc) with the application. In order to ensure teams are equally competitive, all new players are required to tryout to determine the player’s skill before they are drafted onto a team. Hitting, catching, throwing and running will be evaluated. Please send an e-mail to EBL10709@yahoo.com for date and time around February 15. The tryout will be in late February or early March. Team drafts will take place shortly after the tryouts and the player will be contacted by your manager. Eastchester Summer Baseball CampThe Eastchester Summer Baseball Camp is open to children ages 9 through 17. The camp's first session runs from June 29 to July 10. The second session will be held July 13 through July 24. Camp is held on July 4th and all rain dates will be made up. Camp hours are 9 AM to 12 Noon. Camper age groups are: (Y) 9 through 11; (I) 12 through 13; and (S) 14 through 17. A maximum of 40 campers per age group will insure thorough instruction in all phases of the game.The camp is located at the Saggese Field (Eastchester Baseball League Field) at the corner of Ewart and Woodruff Streets in Eastchester, New York.
