Coach Cari would like fall swimmers to bring clothes to wear over your swimsuit for some fun on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday the week of Sept. 15th. Also were will be no swim on Wednesday Sept. 17, due to a high school meet. See you at the pool.................

Starting August 18th thru the end of September practice times are as follows:

Blue      3:00-3:45

White   3:00-4:00

Red      3:00-4:15

Rememer there will be some days we do not have the pool due to the high school swim meet schedule.  This schedule will be emailed out as soon as it is confirmed.

Our Stroke and Turn Clinic will be held the week of August 25

***Dues for the fall session are $60 per swimmer for the entire fall session (Aug&Sept).  Send your swimmer with a check to "DASA" when they begin, checks can be placed in the payment folder.  Thank you!!

                                   BOARD NOMINATIONS

Nomination forms are on the clipboard at the pool, fill one out and place in the board folder. If your not going to the pool, just drop Lisa or Kellie an e-mail with a nomination. Swim board members meet once a month for regular board meetings during these meetings the board plans the direction of the team.

Good luck to all of the swimmers at the NVAL Championship meet this weekend in Redding.  Swim fast!         We have just completed our summer session.  Our team grew so much this summer.  We finished the season with over 100 swimmers (Dolphins and Masters).  WOW!!!             Thank you to our amazing coaching staff that we have had this summer:  Coach Cari, Coach James, Coach Jessi and Coach Mary.  We appreciate all of the amazing contributions you have made to our team!  As fall approaches and schools begin we will miss seeing all of our coaches everyday.  We would like to wish Coach Jessi good luck as she begins preparations to go away to college at the U.C. Santa Cruz.    Coach Mary will also be leaving for college in Omaha, NB again soon.  Good luck to both of you and thank you for your dedication to our swimmers.               Welcome Coach Gina Schweitzer!  We are happy to welcome Gina to our fall session.  Gina has years of competitive swimming and has also been teaching swimming lessons at the North Valley Swim School.   Welcome!!!                 Next week there will be no swim team, August 4-August 8.                      Dolphin Fall Session will begin on Monday, August 11th.  The session will run until the end of September.  When school starts we will be practicing after school with all groups starting at 3:00.  This is always such a fun tradition for the kids when they start school.   The cost for the entire session will be $60 per swimmer (Aug.  11 - Sept 30)  There will be a few Wednesdays where we do not have the pool.  These days will be scheduled in advance and Coach Cari will keep the swimmers updated!                  August 25- 29 we will have a stroke clinic for the Fall session kids.  Each day will focus on a different stroke.   Our Coaches will work on proper stroke technique and improving each childs' competitive swimming skills.                    Our end of the year swimming wrap up party will be on August 24th late afternoon.  More details to follow for this celebration of all the swimmers accomplishments.  At this gathering we will also be voting for new DASA swim board members.  If you are interested in getting more involved, consider putting your name in for the board.   The board meets monthly and helps set the coarse of the team for the season.  The nomination papers will be in your team folder on the 11th .                            Team Photos will be here next week.  Photos will be in the family folders on the 11th.  Thank you to Teri DuBose for doing such a beautiful job on these memories.           Thank you for everything each of you has done to make this one of the best Durham Dolphin seasons ever!!.
