Scott Santos - forward (100 point club)
Class of 1987: A member of the Durfee 100 point club. Scott holds the record for most points in a career at Durfee with 158 points. He was a Hilltopper from November of 1983 through March of 1987 (4 seasons). In his senior year, Santos scored 21 goals and 26 assists was selected a SEMC all-star as well as helping Durfee to a 13-5-4 record and a long awaited return to the MIAA State Tournament.

Bobby Rapoza - forward/defense (100 point club)
Class of 1993: Rapoza is a member of the 100 point club at Durfee. Bobby finished his career at Durfee with 69 goals and 65 assists for 134 points second only to Scott Santos' 158. What's amazing about this is that for 2 1/2 seasons, he played defense.
He is a three time Big Three Conference All-Star and played on three Big Three Conference Championship teams. He was the team captain in his senior season as proved to be a great leader. He also holds three Durfee scoring records: most goals in a season with 35; most points in a season with 62; and most goals in a career with 69. He will definitely go down in history as one of the Hilltoppers' all time greats.

Keith Mello
Keith Mello - forward (100 point club)
Class of 1997: Keith is a member of the 100 point club at Durfee and was captain of the Hilltoppers in his senior campaign. He was the type of player every coach wanted on his team. He led by example both on and off the ice and was also very positive with his teammates. As the years passed, he quickly gained the respect of all opposing players and coaches and represented Durfee High in the highest fashion. Mello won a Big Three Conference championship in 1995 in his sophomore year in which he scored 23 goals and 15 assits and was selected a conference all-star. He also won two Challenge Cups.

Doug Smith - forward (100 point club)
Class of 1991; Captain of the 1991 Hilltoppers, Smith is one of seven players in the Durfee 100 point club. He finished with 60 goals and 49 asssits for 109 career points. Doug is also a two time conference all-star and holds the Durfee record for most goals in a game with eight against Somerset.

Kevin Brum - forward (100 point club)
Class of 1993; Kevin was a very special player, not big in size but played with a huge heart and had excellent skills. He is a member of the Durfee 100 point club. For his career, he scored 53 goals and 56 assists for 109 points. The total could have been higher for not a season ending injury sustained in his freshman year. Kevin was a three time Big Three Conference All-Star and was co-captain of the 1992-93 Hilltoppers. In his four seasons at Durfee, Kevin played on three Big Three Conference Championship teams.

Class of 2000; Captain of the 1999 and 2000 Hilltoppers, Kevin is also a member of the Durfee 100 point club. He finished his career at Durfee with 69 goals and 53 assists for 122 points. Kevin is also a two time conference all-star. He played on four Challenge Cup winning teams and one Big Three Conference championship team.

Kevin DaSilva - forward (100 point club)
Class of 2003; One of the captains of the 2002-03 Hilltoppers, Kevin is a member of the Durfee 100 point club as he scored 63 goals and 44 asssits for 107 points in his four seasons. He won three Big Three Conference championships, four Challenge Cups and two Prenda Cup Championships over his career. DaSilva is also a two time Big Three Conferecne All-Star. Kevin holds the Durfee record for points by a freshman with 26 and tied the record for goals (with Chad Langlois) as a freshman with 14.

DaveNobrega
Dave Nobrega - forward
Class of '83; Captain of the 1983 Hilltoppers, Nobrega led his team in scoring with 24 goals and 17 asssits for 41 points. His junior year saw Dave put up good numbers scoring 19 goals and 13 assists for 32 points. Dave was such a great team leader both on and off the ice and won the respect of many opposing coaches and players. Truly, one of Durfee's all time players.

Bob Gagnon - defenseman
Class of 1982: Bob's played on defesne was a key factor in the success of the 15-6-2 (W-L-T) Hilltoppers during his senior campaign. He scored 3 goals and had 6 assists but his value was defending the blueline and he did that quite well. He also did a fine job when called upon to kill penalties. Gagnon's biggest assest was his great "hockey sense", knowing where to be and what to do at the right time. He was also an outstanding skater and was fundamentally solid.

Jimmy Connolly - forward
Class of 2000; One of the Hilltoppers' team captains for the 2000 season. Jimmy's best season at Durfee was his senior year when he tallied 17 goals and 16 assists for 33 points. In 2000, he was also selected as a Big Three Conference All-Star. He also scored the game winning overtime goal against Weymouth in the 2000 MIAA State Tournament game played at Gallo Arena in Bourne.

Craig Feldman - defenseman
Class of 2000; One of the team captains in both the 1999 and 2000 season. Criag was a two time Big Three Conference All-Star and was at the top of the lists for best defenseman around. He played a major role in the success of the 2000 Hilltoppers' banner team that went 18-2-0 (W-L-T). He tallied 4 goals and 11 assists but his true worth was in his solid defensive play.

Jason Crowley - defenseman
Class of 2001; Tri-captain of the 2001 Hilltoppers, Jay was a two time Big Three Conference All-Star and led by example with a very aggressive style of play. In his senior year , he put up great numbers for a defenseman scoring 8 goals and 11 assists. In his four season's at Durfee, Jay was on four Challenge Cup winning teams and one Big Three Conference winning team.

Jamie Coleman
Jamie Coleman - goaltender
Class of 1982: Jamie came to Durfee with a strong youth hockey background. Coleman played four seasons at the varsity level. He was quick, strong in his fundamentals and an outstanding skater. In his senior year, his solid play led the Hilltoppers to a 15 win season. There were some nights that his play alone would grab wins for the Toppers.

Jason Costa - goaltender
Class of 1990; Jason played varisty hockey for four years and was the starting goaltender in his sophomore, junior and senior years. In his senior year, Costa posted a goals against average of 3.31 in the highly competitive SEMC which included the likes of Falmouth, Barnstable, Bishop Feehan, New Bedford, Dennis/Yarmouth and Coyle. His solid play that season was rewarded by the coaches of the SEMC as they selected Jason as a SEMC All-Star. There were many nights when Costa's play stole victory from the hands of defeat. Jason was an excellent skater, very quick and fundamentally solid. He will go down as one of Durfee's outstanding goaltenders.

Chris Tansey - forward/defenseman
Class of 2003; Chris played 3 years at the varsity level and his last two he made plenty of noise. In his junior year, he scored 17 goals and had 8 asssits and help Durfee win three championships: Big Three Conference, Challenge Cup and Prenda Cup. In his senior year, he really blossomed. He was asked by coach Maurer to move from forward to defesne for the good of the team and Chris took the challenge and produced. He had his best season scoring 21 goals and 13 assists and helped lead Durfee to three more championships; Big Three Conference, Cahllenge Cup & Prenda Cup. Chris had tremendous skating ability,; he was very fast. He could also handle the puck and shoot it well too. He quarterbacked the game from the defense position. Tansey was selected two times as a Big Three Conference All-Star.

Brian Farquhar - defenseman
Class of 1987: Brian was a four year letterman and played a key role in the Hilltoppers' long awaited return to the MIAA State Tournament in March of 1987. In his senior year he helped Durfee to a successful 13-5-4 season tallying 6 goals and 10 asssits and being selected as a SEMC All-Star.

Kevin Marques - defenseman
Class of 2002; Tri-captain of the 2002 Hilltoppers. Kevin was a three time Big Three Conference All-Star and a very good blueline defender. Kevin played on four Challenge Cup winning teams and won two Big Three Conference championships in his Durfee career.

Jay Amaral - forward
Class of 2001; Tri-captain of the 2001 Hilltoppers, Jay was noted for his very aggressive style of play. What he lacked in size was made up for with heart. He finished his career at Durfee with 31 goals and 32 assists for 63 points. He also played on four Challenge Cup winning teams and one Big Three Conference championship team..

Josh Medeiros - forward/defenseman
Class of 2002; Josh was a tri-captain of the 2002 Hilltoppers and was truly the leader of the team that year. He played a key role on defense but still managed 4 goals and 14 assists leading Durfee to a Big Three Conference championship. In 2002, he was also selected as a Big Three Conference All-Star. Josh also played on four Challenge Cup winning teams.

John Friar - goaltender
Class of 2000; John was the Hilltoppers' starting goaltender in both his junior and senior years. In his senior season, John compiled an outstanding goals against average of 1.56 and was selected as a Big Three Conference All-Star. His team that season went 18-2-0 (W-L-T) and won both the Big Three Conference championship and the Challenge Cup. In his four seasons, John was on four Challenge Cup winning teams and one Big Three Conference championship team.

Class of 1982: Patrick was one of Durfee's best defensemen with size and strength being his biggest assets. He played the game hard and was a leader on the ice. In his senior year he scored 1 goal and 9 asssits but his solid play on defense is where his value was.
His brother Peter had 6 goals and 15 assists in that same senior year. Both Pat and Peter came from a strong youth hockey background which made them solid high school players while at Durfee.

Chris "Corky" Curtis - forward
Class of 1982; Captain of the 1981-82 Hilltoppers, Chris played a key role on defense and was a contributing factor in the team's success that season. He tallied 3 goals and 8 assists in his senior year and helped the Hilltoppers to an overall record of 15-6-2 (W-L-T).

Kevin Robinson
Kevin Robinson - forward
Class of 1982: Kevin was a coaches' type of player. One loaded with aggressivness and a desire to win. What he lacked in sized was made up for with heart. He hustled from start to finish with no rest in between (except for his times in the penalty box, right Kevin?) and always gave you 100%. In his senior year he tallied 9 goals and 8 assists and was a key factor in leading Durfee to a 15 win season.

Matt Bourassa - forward
Class of 2002; Matt was a tri-captain of the 2002 Hilltoppers. He tallied 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points but his true value to the team came as a penalty-killing forward. He did an outstanding job in that role and his play was a major factor in Durfee winning three championships that year: Big Three Conference, Challenge Cup and Prenda Cup. Small in size, huge in heart and a teammate that everyone liked.

Doug Jarabek
Doug Jarabek - forward
Class of 1987: A key player on the 1986-87 Durfee Hilltoppers that went 13-5-4. Doug had 12 goals and 20 asssits and played on the Toppers' potent first line along with Scott Santos and Roger Souza. Jarabek was always a penalty-killing specialist.

Scott Hornby
Scott Hornby - defenseman
Class of 1987: A four year letterman, Scott played a key role in the success of the Toppers' program. In his senior year, he tallied 2 goals and 13 assits and helped lead Durfee to a MIAA State Tournament berth. A steady "stay at home " type defenseman, Hornby was a very solid blueline defender, a strong skater and a fundamentally sound defenseman. A player who always got the job done.

Charlie Sousa - forward
Class of 2000; One of the captains of the 1999-00 Hilltoppers. Charlie tallied 5 goals and 3 assists in his senior year but played a key role in the Hilltoppers' 18-2-0 (W-L-T). He solidified Durfee's third line which usually out matched other teams third lines and gave the Hilltoppers a huge game advantage. He also moved in and helped the Toppers' top, two lines when there was an injury. Chalie's biggest asset was his size and strength. Charlie's best scoring season was his junior year when he scored 7 goals and 7 assists. He also played on four Challenge Cup winning teams and one Big Three Conference championship team.

Danny Crowley - forward
Class of 2002; Danny was a member of the Durfee banner team of 2001-02 that went 18-2-0 (W-L-T). He was the team's first line center scoring 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points. In his junior season, Crowley had 11 goals and 8 assists. Danny played on four Challenge Cup winning teams and one Big Three Conference championship team.

Jameson Hart - goaltender
Class of 2002; Jameson only played varsity goal in his junior and senior years at Durfee but what a two years. In his junior year, Hart posted a goals against average of 2.o4 facing a very competitive schedule. Same held true for his senior year; a tough schedule and excellent stats. Jameson posted a goals against average of 1.87 and was the MVP of the Big Three Conference leading the Hilltoppers to the conference championship. He is the only player in the history of Durfee hockey to win a conference MVP award.

Nelson Viveiros - forward
Class of 1995: One of the team captains of the 1994-95 Hilltoppers. Nelson knew only way to play the game and that with hustle, heart and desire. In his senior year, Viveiros scored 7 goals but had 20 assists. He was the MVP of the 1995 Challenge Cup and helped his team capture a Big Three Conference Championship. In his four seasons at Durfee, Viveiros played on three Big Three Conference championships teams.

Mark "Rudy" Carrolton - goaltender
Class of 1992: Mark played two full seasons at the varsity level but really got to show how good he was in his senior year. In that 1991-92 season he backboned the Hilltoppers to their second consecutive Big Three Conference championship posting a goals against average of 2.52 and being selected as a Big Three Conference All-Star. Durfee went undefeated in conference play that year.
Carrolton played on two Big Three Conference championship teams.

Tommy Sousa - defenseman
Class of 2001; Tri-captain of the 2000-01 Hilltoppers. Tommy was Durfee's most physical player and was never shy when it came to throw his weight around. He made many opposing players hear footsteps which made them less effective. He won one Big Three Conference Championship and three Challenge Cups while playing three years of varsity hockey.

Kevin Correia - defenseman
Class of 1998: Kevin was one of the area's top defenseman during his playing days at Durfee where he played in all four years. He won a Big Three Conference title as well as three Challenge Cup championships. Noted for his aggressive style of play, he was also an offensive threat and anchored the point on the power play during his final two seasons. He was a strong skater with excellent hockey skills and played hard every game. An all around solid defenseman.

Joe Roque
Joe Roque - forward
Class of 1996: Joe played for years at the varsity level. During that time, he won two Big Three Conference championships and one Challenge Cup. A flashy, speed skating forward, Roque was a very skilled offensive player. While he was on the ice, he was always a threat to create offensive opportunities.

Class of 1982: Bob came to Durfee with a strong youth hockey background and carried his solid play to his high school career. He could play both forward and defense. A good skater with good skills and a teammate that everyone liked.

Joe Castro
Joe Castro - forward
Class of 1982: Joe came to Durfee with a good youth hockey background. One thing though; he played goal in youth hockey most of the time. At Durfee he played defense and contributed. He was one of the contributors in the Toppers 15 win season in his senior year. A good player with a good attitude who always played hard.
