CA District 33 Little League: 2016 All-Stars

2016 Little League International Tournament

The 2016 Little League International Tournament or what we refer to as the All-Star Tournament began Saturday, June 18th for the Intermediate division and on Saturday, June 25th for the rest of the divisions.

Did you know that there are 5 levels in the All-Star Tournament? The first level is District. The second level is Sections. The third level is State. In Southern California, since there are many leagues, Little League has divided Southern California in half and have 2 tournaments called Sub-Divisions. The winner of the Sub-Division South plays the winner of the Sub-Division North in the State Championship tournament. After State are Regional's and finally the World Series. The lower divisions, 8/9/10's and 9/10/11's end their tournaments at the State level.

If you would like to know all the dates and locations of the various tournaments, take a look at our 2016 All Star Baseball Tournament Levels handout, to see where the road to the World Series will take you.

2016 Regional and World Series All-Star Tournaments

The 4th and 5th levels of the 2016 Little League International Tournament for the upper divisions are the Regional and World Series. The lower divisions; 8/10's and 9/11's ended their tournament at the State level.  ESPN will be broadcasting these games on TV and on the internet.  Want to catch a game on TV or online?  Just want to see how the teams are doing in your division?

2016 All-Star Saturday Re-Cap

The 2016 All-Star Saturday was well attended this year.  We would like to say "thank you" to our host Chollas Lake Little League for allowing us to hold the event at their facilities. This event was geared for the lower divisions All-Star players. We had 3 different age groups; 8-10's, 9-11's and 10-12's that competed in 4 skills events.  The leagues with the most metals in the skills event were given the overall league metals. Take a look at the links below to see the winners in each of the skills catagories.
