Mighty Casey at Bat for Challenger Division
The Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation, together with 28 current and former MLB players, have established a $2 million endowment to provide annual support to the LLB Challenger Division beginning with the 2005 season. "The Mighty Casey," a 14-foot bronze rendition of the fabled slugger from the iconic baseball poem "Casey at Bat," was unveiled August 21, 2004 in recognition of this endowment to LLB Inc. It is located next to the scoreboard on the terraced hill beyond the left field fence at Howard J. Lamade Stadium.
