Q: How do I make my Local League better for the Kids?
A: You can make a huge difference in your Local League and make it better for Everyone, by being a Volunteer. There are many roles that you can do as a Volunteer, Board Member, Umpire, Manager, Coach, Team Mom, Score Keeper, Concession Helper, member of a Commitee, if you can't do any of them, your League could always use help with phone calls or stuffing envelopes in search of returning players or Sponsors. Check with your Local League to see how you can make a difference in not only your childs life, but to a whole Leagues worth of children.
"The Parents of millions of Little Leaguers combined with their children, league officails, umpires, managers, coaches, and countless volunteer agencies including sponsors, represent an imposing cross section of our world. Parents must take the initiative to make the local program successful. Little League is not a club in which membership implies babysitting benefits and entertainment privileges. Practically speaking, Little League is an adult work project constructed, supervised and assisted by parents who want to extend that benefit to their children. The Parent who shirks this resonsibilty cannot, in turn, expect others to assume the burden." (Official Regulations & Playing Rules of LLB)

Q: How do I determine my childs League Age for baseball?
A: For Fall Ball and for Spring 2008, the easiest way for you to determine your childs League Age is this: What is your childs age on April 30 2008? That is your child's League Age for these seasons.

Q: How do I determine my childs League Age for Softball?
A: For Fall Ball and Spring 2008, The easiest way to determine your childs League Age is this: What is your childs age on December 31, 2007? This is your childs League Age for these seasons.

Q: I don't like my Local League can I have my child play with his cousin at this other League?
A: No. Each League has defined boundaries and you must play at your local league as defined by those boundaries.

Q: How do I know which league is my Local League?
A: www.eteamz.active.com/llb/finder/index.cfm

BatTooHeavy?

Q: How do I know if my childs bat is too heavy?
A: If your child can not hold their bat as shown for 20 seconds then the bat is too heavy.

Q: How are All Stars Picked?
A: Although Little League does have a Recommended Method to select the team (which would allow for a vote that included the players voting). It is a Local League decision and you should check with your League Secretary for a copy of your league By-Laws which would explain the exact procedure that your League uses.

Q: I do NOT like my childs manager, what can I do as a parent?
A: Little League is a volunteer organization that includes thousands of adults around the world. As a parent please try to understand that sometimes adults do not like each other, but must attempt to work together for the benefit of the children.

Q: My child does not like his manager, what can I do as a parent?
A: Contact your Local League Player Agent and have a conversation to discuss the options for your child. All that may need to be done is have a sit down conversation with the manager away from the dug-out and field, to explain how your child feels and to hear what the manager has to say, with the Player Agent there to help do what is best for your child.
