|
Welcome to the website of the 2010 New Hampshire DIAMOND GEMS ORANGE 14U Fastpitch Softball Team based in Nashua, New Hampshire. Our Head coach will still be Dave Johnson and we will have assistant coaches Joe Law and Rich Kucij as well as a pitching coach on staff. Our coaching staff has over 30 years of combined experience coaching at the travel softball level. Our coaching staff has lead teams to several ASA, NSA and PONY championships, which includes three NH ASA State Titles and two ASA New England Regional championships.
The Fall Session will start after try-outs and consist of at least one tournament and several scrimmages. Our Winter workouts run from December through March where all of our teams work out and are instructed in our philosophy of hitting, throwing, pitching, catching and conditioning. We will play in 9-10 Summer tournaments and practice two times per week during the season. We will be going to tournaments where our athletes will be challenged. Thanks for visiting our site. Have a safe and successful season! |

The Gems started off on Saturday with the first game at 8:00am and the last ending close to midnight. They were the only team to play 6 games all on Saturday. (This was due to a change in the schedule due to the rain expected on Sunday). To play 6 games is a feat in itself, but to play the way they did was even more impressive. The team was outstanding throughout the day displaying great pitching, defense and timely hitting. The competition was fierce throughout, but the Gems allowed only 5 runs in 6 games including 3 shut-outs. This was a total team effort from start to finish.
The Gems finished their Fall Season with a 11-3-1 record. This will conclude their Fall season, as they will be moving indoors soon for the Winter session.
