Diamond 14U Takes the Diamond 9 Battle for the Rings
In a rained shortened Sunday, the boys were the highest remaining seed in the white division and were crowned champions of the Diamond 9 - Battle for the Rings tournament on May 20-22. The boys played well on Saturday after coming out a little flat in the pool game against the Fire. On Saturday they took care of business with wins of 10-4 against a good Naturals 13U team and 10-6 against the Knoxville Cyclones. With the exception of the first game, our defense is coming together nicely and our pitchers are getting the outs they need without giving up the big inning.
The boys were awarded rings and a team banner to hang in the Diamond Baseball Academy facility. Great job and let's go get 'em over Memorial Day Weekend boys!!!

Fall State Champs Look Ahead to 2011 Summer Season
After winning the Fall State over a good Chattanooga team, Diamond Baseball 14U is in the midst of off season workouts and is looking forward to school ball and the summer baseball season. This year, we will get started in May and play through July to allow our players ample opportunity to play ball for their middle and high schools.
The team is planning a trip in late June to Panama City Beach, FL to play in the Grand Slam World Series. There will be plenty of baseball before and after the trip.
This year's team is truly something special. Our players and families get along well and the addition of Jeremy Kemp as our head coach has really brought a much needed dimension to our team. He relates well to the boys and seems to really draw the best out of them as a team.
Check back during the season for updates on our success!!!
