Lance and Kelly Fowler are the founders of Desert Thunder Softball. Desert Thunder was founded in August 2001.
Lance grew up in Willcox, Az and pitched Men's Fastpitch for 10+ years with Freeway Exxon, coached by Dave Harris (ASA Hall of Fame). Freeway Exxon played in numerous ASA and ISC National Tournaments.
Lance has coached 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18Gold for Desert Thunder.
In 2006, the 16U team placed 17th at 16U ASA Nationals out of 136 teams -- finishing the season with a record of 88 - 12 - 4.
In 2007, the Gold team finished 25th at Gold Nationals.
In 2008, the Gold team again finished 25th in Oklahoma City at Gold Nationals.
In 2009, the Gold team finished 9th in Oklahoma City at Gold Nationals, going 5-2 in bracket play.
