What about goalies? We are always looking for goalies, especially experienced ones. You receive big discounts if you want to be a dedicated goalie. We provide one set of goalie gear for each team and if you use your own, you receive a further discount and in some leagues play for FREE! Check out our registration form for details.

Do I get my own jersey? Every player gets to wear a Delta Revolution jersey. This jersey must be returned at the end of the season or you will be charged $75. You are not allowed to attach a name bar to any part of the jersey.

When can I register? You can register any time up to the start of evaluations. Register early to be assured of a spot.  On-line registration is also available.  See homepage or links for registration link.

If I don't like roller hockey, can I quit? Yes. Although we are sure you will love it, you can quit at any time. The refund schedule works this way. You must notify the registrar (Sylvia McCullough (604) 946-2841) directly.
After the first evaluation - full refund.
After second evaluation and before April 30th - 50% refund.
After April 30th and before May 15th - 25% refund.
After May 15th - no refund.

What is parent participation? We need parent volunteers. The number of teams we have depends on the number of coaches that volunteer. Every team needs a Coach, an Assistant Coach, a Team Manager, two Tmekeepers and volunteers for various functions. In addition to these positions we need one Division Manager for every division. (without the Division Manager the division cannot operate) Remember, a minimum of 4 hours participation per player registered. Check out the job descriptions on this website.

What does NON-CONTACT mean? There is no body checking in roller hockey. Incidental contact is ok. Cross checking from behind is very dangerous and considered a major infraction. At the referee's discretion he/she may award a game misconduct. Fighting is strictly forbidden. Fighting results in a major penalty, a game misconduct and an additional game suspension. If a player is in another fight then the player is suspended for the remainder of the season.

Are there offsides or icing? No. This is a wide open game using only 4 skaters plus a goalie.

How long are the games? The mite, squirt, peewee and bantam divisions play 2 X 20 minute running clock games with a stop clock for the final two minutes of the second period.  There is a 10 minute warm up.

Where can I find/sell used hockey gear? Check out Sports Replay in Langley or Cheapskates in Vancouver.

What if I can't afford the registration fee? We can help...contact our President directly in confidence.

Do I have to be skilled to play in this league? Absolutely not. This is a fun league and all players are welcome. All you need is team spirit and a willingness to learn and have fun. Players will be evaluated and placed on teams that are evenly matched.

Can I have a friend on the team? All requests to play with a friend should be emailed by both players to the Registrar and the league will do their best to put the two players on the same team so long as it does not upset the skill balancing of the teams.

Can I play on one of the Tournament Select Teams?  Anyone can try out for the tournament teams but only one team from each of the following divisions will be selected to represent Delta Revolution. Mite, Squirt, Peewee and Bantam.

Can I play in the next division up?   If space available, only the older boys and girls from their current division can be considered for move-up. (eg. the older age Mite player could be moved into the Squirt Division)
