Coaching Development 2011
Hello Everyone,
Part of the ongoing effort to improve the quality of our sport is Coaching Development. To achieve this goal, NIHA-Canada and BCIHA are currently working on developing coaching clinics specific to the sport of inline hockey. During this time of development, BCIHA is requiring all house league coaches to obtain the Respect in Sport (RiS) Certification.
The Respect in Sport online certification program was developed to protect our youth and enhance an organization's mandate for safe, fun and respectful environments for all. Respect in Sport was developed as a grass-roots online tool so sport and community organizations can now actually deliver on their commitment to creating a safer environment for all participants; coaches. managers, trainers, administration and volunteers and even parents.
This requirement is mandatory and became effective January 2011. More information on Coaching Development as well as links to the RiS Certification program can be found on the BCIHA website at the following link under the heading of Coaching Development BC Inline Hockey Association ยป Development.
