What A GAME!!!
Hello All, What a game the BOYS gave us last night.  Rams VS Rams!!! This was a true Team effort and a Great Win.   The Cheerleaders did great job along with help from the Deering FANS cheering the Team on.  What a great way to spend your Friday nights under the lights cheering for the BEST FOOTBALL PROGRAM IN THE STATE.     So we will be having a pasta Dinner on Friday night as it appears we will be playing Saturday.  How about a tailgate for Saturday?  More to follow on that note.
Okay on to new business and YES it is me again asking for help.  The State game is 11/17 and we need to work with Portland Football and cheering, Deering Football and cheering and the city.  The city runs this, however we do make money (last year 2702.00) so we need all parents to help work one of the three stands during the game.  We will NOT have a clue as to when A, B and C will be played until the week before.  They are asking for six hours shifts.  If you can't do a six hour shift email me and we can work something out.
So here are the times that we need.
Shift 1 8:00- 2:30          Main Stand
Shift 1 8:00- 2:30          Satellite Stand 2
Shift 1 8:00- 2:30          Satelite Stand 3
Shift 2 2:30- 8:30          Main Stand
Shift 2 2:30- 8:30          Satellite Stand 2
Shift 2 2:30- 8:30          Satellite Stand 3
Please send me a note back ASAP as to when you could work.  Again that you for your support for Deering High Football.  Joyce

WE STILL NEED HELP DURING SATURDAY GAME !!!

DO YOU NEED FALL MUMS

ATTENTION FOOTBALL BOOSTERS...

Each year the DHS Field Hockey teams sell mum plants to raise funds for the program. If you have purchased mums in the past, thank you! With the current school department budget crunch, this year's sale is very important to us. In anticipation of a greater need for Booster Club funds, we are asking for your support. Please consider decorating your yard/home/business with Deering mums. These 8 inch potted plants are available in yellow, white, pink/purple, maroon, and rust/orange. (All colors subject to Mother Nature and are approximate.) The cost is reasonable at $7.00 each or 4 for $25.00.

If you are interested please email your order with quantity and color selection to Laura Bustin at ljbustin@maine.rr.com or stop by the Memorial Field concession stand during our field hockey game Monday September 10th 4:30-7PM . All orders and payment must be received by Monday September 10th.

Thank you for your support of Deering Athletics.

Another Easy Way of Making Money for The DHS Football Team!!
We all seem to collect bottles and cans!!! Well I am not offering to pick them up or have one of those bottle drives, however if you bring you bottles and cans to RT 302 Rdemption Center near Dunkin Donuts across from Tee "N" Tee they have a box next to the door for DHS Football.  If you have too many for the box ask for our labels.  They are keeping a count and will give us a check on October 31st.  So another easy way of making money.   I was dropping off my bottles and some from Friday's game and The person said she has collected many for DHS folks.  So again thanks to all for helping.  Joyce Sawyer
