Residents of the Town of Deerfield - This program is for You !!!!
Our Winter Recreation Program as well as our Summer Park program are currently under the direction of Karen Day as Recreation Director. Working in conjunction with Paul Zaleski our Senior Youth Leader, Amanda Benoit and Victoria Zaleski- Summer Youth Leaders and our fine staff of Youth Councilors, We hope to bring to the families and youth of our Town, a well organized, safe and entertaining program of events, and activities. We welcome you to come and give our program a try. Look for our latest events and schedules in the Calendar section below.
Secondly, for the safety of all our children and your piece of mind, we've added new permission slips for both the program and for special events for which parental consent is encouraged or required. To download these and other new forms, please go to our Handouts section below and click on the form or forms you need. We also have a code of conduct to which we must adhere to, to be sure to provide a safe, positive atmosphere to all who attend or share in our activities and events. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ AND DISCUSS THESE RULES WITH YOUR FAMILY BEFORE ATTENDING OUR PROGRAM. THIS CODE OF CONDUCT WILL BE ENFORCED. (see Code of Conduct below schedule )
Lastly, we hope to continue to bring to you the quality programs you have enjoyed in the past, while always looking to the future and how we can better what we have. We encourage your input and participation. Together we hope to make this a program you and your children will be as excited to attend as we are to provide.

Code of Conduct
Town of Deerfield Recreation Program - CODE OF CONDUCT
The Town of Deerfield is committed to offering her residents a fun, safe and memorable Recreation Program. To ensure that all participants of the Program enjoy their time with us, the following behaviors will Not Be Tolerated and will result in immediate dismissal from the Program. In our effort to provide the best possible program, we ask that you review the following code of conduct with your child(ren).
Participant Code of Conduct
Physical violence will NOT be tolerated. NO hitting, shoving, pushing, spitting etc.
Foul language & profanity are not allowed.
All paricipant are expected to listen to and respect Leaders and Counselors.
No Bullying, name calling or excluding others from activities. All events, games, toys, and crafts are for EVERYONE.
No leaving the Program site, Park Area, or traveling on trails without a Leader or Counselor. Group Nature walks will be planned during our visits to the Wilderness Park.
Parents/Guardians agree to sign their child(ren) IN and OUT of the program each day that they attend.
Parents/Guardians agree to pick their child(ren) up at the designated pick up times.
Parents/Guardians agree to pick their child(ren) from the SUMMER Park Program at or before 3:00pm. Our Staff Members leave promptly at 3:00pm.
We are not a Day Care Service. In the event of Stormy weather (Severe rain, or Thunder and lightning) the Park Program will be cancelled and you will be required to pick up your Child(ren) immediately.
Leader/Counselor Code of Conduct
We will put the safety and security of your child(ren) as our first priority.
We promise to make every child feel included and share in the fun and experiences of the Program.
We will act as referees and settle any squabbles or disputes between the children so that "issues" never escalate to something serious. If the behaviors continue, the child(ren) involved will be seperated.
We will set good examples with our actions and words.
Please print and sign Hand out, and bring with your child when requested.
