Force Black 92G Advances to Semi-Finals in US Club National Cup Tournament
Force Black competed in the US Club National Cup Region H tournament in Modesto, California, June 21-24th. The Force Black record was 2-1-1, with 4 Goals For and 3 Against. They defeated the Utah Premier Team America (Semi-Finalists in the Utah State Cup 2008) in Game 1 with a score of 2-0. Force Black went on to tie Cal Cougars, 1-1, in Game 2, and defeated San Juan Spirits 93 Blue in Game 3 in a tough battle that ended in a score of 1-0. The Force met Placer United Prestige 93 in the semi-finals on Monday night, June 23rd. After falling behind 0-2 in the first half, Force Black came back strong in the second half with many shots on goal. Placer defense held strong, and the final score was 1-3, ending Force Black journey to the National Cup.

Five Force Black 92G Players Selected for District 2 ODP Pool
Congratulations to the Force Black 92G players who have been selected for the District 2 ODP Pool in 2008. Five Force Black players were identified to participate in training this summer with the 93/94 ODP pools: Amanda Castillo, Kari Clark, Zohar Liebermensch, Katherine Mirassou, Shelby Triantos. District ODP Play Dates have been set for September 14th and October 12th.

Force Black's State Cup Run Ends with Quarter Finals
Force Black played Santa Rosa Thunder United in the Quarter Finals of State Cup in Morgan Hill. Forward Shelby Triantos scored early in the first half on a penalty kick in the box. The score remained 1-0 at the end of the first half. Santa Rosa came back to tie the game in the second half, making the score 1-1 after 80 minutes of regulation play. Santa Rosa scored the winning "golden" goal in the first overtime, ending Force Black's State Cup run for 2008. There's always next year!

Deanza Force Black Advances to the Quarter Finals of State Cup!
With a game winning goal scored by mid-fielder Cheryl Tom, Deanza Force Black advances to the quarter finals round of State Cup! Force Black played their "sister team", Force Blue, in the Round of 16 in Morgan Hill. Black defeated Blue with a final score of 1-0 at the end of regulation play. Force Black will compete in the quarter finals vs. Santa Rosa Thunder United on Saturday, April 26th at 8:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill, Field #7.

First Round State Cup
Deanza Force 92G Black was undefeated in the first round of state cup with a record of 3-0-0. Force Black had a total of 11 goals FOR and 0 AGAINST. Round 2 of State Cup will take place on Saturday, April 19th at 11:00 a.m. in Morgan Hill Soccer Complex.

Force 92G Black Competes in Northern California Spring Showcase Tournament
Force 92G Black competed March 8th - 9th in the Northern California Spring Showcase Tournament. This tournament, which was an inaugural event for the Juventus Soccer Club, was an excellent opportunity to jump start preparations for State Cup after a long break for the high school season. Competing in the U15 Premier bracket, Force 92G Black's record was 1-1-2, winning 1-0 vs. Burlingame Flame and tying both Bay Oaks Blasters and Santa Rosa United Thunder with a score of 1-1. (Santa Rosa went on to win the championship game vs. MVLA Avalanche.) The Force Black advanced to play against Cal Rush Nike 93 in the Consolation Game, with a final score of 0-2.

State Cup 2008 Draw
The U14 - U19 State Cup Draw took place on Sunday January 13th, 2008. Complete Results have been posted on the CYSA North web site. Deanza Force 92G Black will be competing in the first round in the K Bracket. Preliminary games will be hosted by District 6 and will take place at the Cherry Island Soccer Complex in Sacramento on the weekend of April 5 - 6, 2008.
