Saturday, February 2 TEAM MEETING Parents- Next meeting about next season...........Sunday Mar 9th 6:30pm goldey beacom upstairs above basketball gym Saturday, February 2 Attention Seniors: (Regarding play this summer) Parents- For this summer check our calendar for the 2008 season if you want to play contact Cappy. 1) your player passes are good till july 31, 2008 2) we need to know if any of you have interest and are commited to the fees/travel/yes answer to attendance (since there are only 8 non senior families, we will need to add seniors and/or guests to be able to go). for the event it is a chance for the senior families moving on to college soccer to play, train, and not lose fitness in the summertime before your preseason college camp. obviously for the non senior families, this is an excellent showcase to try to get into and play. I will be attending whether we have a team or not for recruiting purposes for the goldey beacom program. please check your family vacation, post graduation schedules and your daughter's opinion on whether she wants to play. try to let me know early next week. I will see some of you during the spring in delaware high school ball. I have accepted the offer for the springtime to be the varsity head girls coach at pencader charter (1st time varsity program) best wishes, coach cappiello Monday, January 28 Holy Spirit winter practices are over. Sunday, January 20 DIRECTIONS TO HOLY SPIRIT GYM (PRACTICES)
Since several people got lost, I will try my best to explain the directions. Take 295 North towards the Delaware Memorial Bridge. There are 2 exits before the DE Memorial Bridge. BOTH WILL GET YOU THERE.
---- If you take the one before the overpass, it is marked Rt. 9 South, New Castle. At the light, make a left, go over the overpass, and make your 1st left onto Halycon Drive at the Shell gas station. The Church is on the left.
----If you take the exit marked "LAST EXIT BEFORE THE BRIDGE", it is marked Rt. 9 North, Wilmington. You have to go across 2 lanes of traffic to make that 1st left at the Shell gas station or you can go further, which is safer, to the 1st traffic light and make a u-turn. Get on Halycon Drive and the Church is on the left.
Once in the parking lot, the gym is to the far right. If you get lost, please call my cell 275-2287. Thanks and we all hope to see you there!
Sunday, January 20 LITITZ TOURNI JULY 26 & 27 Coaches/Team Managers: Mark your calendars! The Lititz Summer Showcase Soccer Tournament will be held on Saturday July 26 and Sunday July 27! The website and registration are now open! Go to http://lititzsummershowcase.org to register. We are giving teams that participated advance notice so you can get a jump on registration. We WILL NOT be expanding the team count this year and expect to turn away teams so we encourage you to register early. Instead of expanding the tournament, we will be focusing on improving what we believe is already a great event. Here are a few of the things we are working to improve for this year's event: ° INCREASED AND CLOSER HOTELS: We are working earlier with a hotel accommodations company and as such have secured a lot more hotel rooms for our teams. Sunday, January 13 SPRING TRY OUTS ARE COMING..... All experienced high school girls serious soccer players, who may be interested in playing college soccer/obtain scholarships, are encouraged to come to the Peach Blossom spring try outs which will be held : April 27 in the am, May 30th evening, June 12 evening, July 7th evening. The goal will be to have the core team picked by End of May so that we can begin training for the summer showcase events, but will allow for ongoing additions to the team as other players become available. See headlines below for an overview of next years possible event schedule. Try outs will be held at Kirkwood Soccer Complex.
