Davenport East Little League: 2014 Divisions

Select Season:
Minor A
T-Ball League A: (Ages 4-6)
Introduction to the fun of baseball! Non-competitive, T-Ball league usually consists of 6 to 8 players per team. Players are placed on teams by the league and try to keep neighborhood kids together. Every player bats and plays defensively every inning. Games will last for 3 innings (approx. 1 hr). All players will hit off of a tee. No outs, balls, strikes or score are kept. Safety balls are used.
•League age 4-6.
•Seven year olds have the option play T Ball if the parent makes the request.

*Special Note*
The traditional age pairings for our various divisions are as follows:
A (T-Ball) 5 and 6
AA    7 and 8
AAA   9 and 10
Major 11 and 12   (11’s not drafted to a Major team will be placed on a Minor AAA team)
Davenport East recognizes and allows for our 6, 8, and 10 year-olds to play up to the next highest division. It is important for every parent to understand that there is *No Guarantee* that a player will move up to the next highest division.
1. There must be positions available in the division a player is trying to enter after all of the traditional age pairings have been assigned to a team.
2. The player must try-out in the division they are attempting to enter.
3. A manager must select the player to that division during the draft process.

Any player who attempts to move up a division and is not selected for that division during the draft process will be eligible for draft of their traditional division pairing.

The AA, AAA, and Major Teams will likely compete in inter-league play with other local little leagues as part of their regular season schedule.
