Are there any discounts offered?
Team/Individual Camp Discount: I you are registrating a team of 10 or more players from the same school the cost is $200.00 each for an overnight camper. Please call 412-648-8700 to receive your coupon code. You must enter the coupon code and group name to receive this discount.
Little Panther Camp Discount: If you are registrating with a group of 10 or more please call 412-648-8700 to receive your coupon code of 20% off the registration price. You must enter the coupon code and group name to receive this discount.
Can Teams attend?
Yes, a team of 10 or more players from the same school pay $200 each for an Overnight Camper for the Team/Individual Camp. A 20% discount is available for the Little Panther Camp for a group of 10 or more.

What is the camp refund policy?
Online registration is full payment only. $100 of your camp cost is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. Our camp sessions are open to a limited number and a waiting list will be established if required. We encourage you to secure your spot immediately. If you have any questions please contact the Football Office at 412-648-8700.

What items should my child bring to camp?
Little Panther Camp: Campers should come dressed in a T-shirt and Tennis or Basketball Shoes. No Helmet required.
Specialist Camp: Campers are to bring a T-Shirt, Grass Shoes, Turf or Basketball Shoes, Shorts and Socks. No Helmet required.
Prospect and Team/Individual Camps: Campers are to bring a T-Shirt, Grass Shoes, Turf or Basketball Shoes, Shorts, Socks and a Helmet.

Where and when is check in?
Little Panther Camp: Arrival Both Mornings between 7:30 am and 8:00 am at the UPMC Sports Performance Complex.
Specialist Camp: Arrive 9:00 am at the UPMC Sports Performance Complex.
Prospect Camp: Arrive 10:00 am at the UPMC Sports Performance Complex.
Team/Individual Camp: Arrive between 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Sutherland Hall.

How do I get to camp? (Driving Directions)
UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH (Directions to Campus - Sutherland Hall)
From the East via the Pennsylvania Turnpike - Take Exit 57 (Monroeville / Pittsburgh), take 376 West to the Oakland Exit (exit 3B), turn right at the stop sign (stay in the right hand lane), go straight, through stoplight at the top of the hill, turn left on McKee Place. Cross over Forbes Avenue and Fifth Avenue, McKee Place becomes Darragh Street, at the top of the hill, turn right on Allequippa Street, go past the “OC” parking lot and down the hill. Sutherland Hall is through the stop sign on the left.
From the Northwest via the Pennsylvania Turnpike - Take Exit 28 (79 South), follow 79 South to 279 South to 579 (bear right), right on 376 East (Monroeville), follow signs to Oakland, right on Forbes Avenue, turn left on McKee Place, cross over Fifth Avenue, McKee Place becomes Darragh Street, at the top of the hill, turn right on Allequippa Street, go past the “OC” parking lot and down the hill. Sutherland Hall is through the stop sign on the left.
From the Southwest via Route 70 - Take 70 East to 79 North toward Pittsburgh. Take 279 North to 376 East (Monroeville), through Fort Pitt Tunnel, 376 bears right, follow signs to Oakland, right on Forbes Avenue, turn left on McKee Place, cross over Fifth Avenue, McKee Place becomes Darragh Street, at the top of the hill, turn right on Allequippa Street, go past the “OC” parking lot and down the hill. Sutherland Hall is through the stop sign on the left.

From the East via the Pennsylvania Turnpike or I-376: Take Exit 57 (Monroeville / Pittsburgh), take I-376 West to Pittsburgh to the Glenwood Exit (exit 3A), turn right at the stop sign. Turn left at the traffic light onto 2nd Avenue and get in the right lane. Turn right at the first traffic light onto Hot Metal Street. Go across the Hot Metal Bridge and make the first left onto South Water Street into the UPMC Sports Performance Complex. The Football Office Duratz Athletic Complex is the third building on your right.
From the North via the Pennsylvania Turnpike or I-279: Take Exit 28 (79 South), follow 79 South to 579 South to the Liberty Bridge / Monroeville. Follow signs to Monroeville / Oakland, then follow signs to Forbes Avenue / Oakland. At the 3rd light, turn right onto Bates Street. At the bottom of the hill, turn left at the light onto Second Ave. Make the next right onto Hot Metal Street and go across the Hot Metal Bridge. Make the first left onto South Water Street into the UPMC Sports Performance Complex. The Football Office Duratz Athletic Complex is the third building on your right.
From the South (Route 70) and West (Airport): Take 70 East to 79 North toward Pittsburgh. Take 279 North to 376 East (Monroeville), through Fort Pitt Tunnel, 376 bears right, follow signs to the Grant Street Exit past the Smithfield Street Bridge. Turn right onto 1st Avenue. Go one block and turn left onto “B” Street and then make a right onto 2nd Avenue. Follow 2nd Avenue (2.1 miles) to Hot Metal Street. Make a right onto Hot Metal Street and go across the Hot Metal Bridge. Make the first left onto South Water Street into the UPMC Sports Performance Complex. The Football Office Duratz Athletic Complex is the third building on your right.
From 5th Avenue in Oakland: From 5th Avenue turn left onto McKee Place. Stay in the right lane and cross over Forbes Avenue. Follow McKee Place to Bates Street. Make a right turn onto Bates Street and follow it to the bottom of the hill (2nd Avenue). At 2nd Avenue turn left at the traffic light and get in the right lane. Turn right at the first traffic light onto Hot Metal Street. Go across the Hot Metal Bridge and make the first left onto South Water Street into the UPMC Sports Performance Complex. The Football Office Duratz Athletic Complex is the third building on your right.

What meals are provided?
Team/Individual Camp: Day Campers will be provided with both Lunch and Dinner. Breakfast will not be provided. Overnight Campers will receive Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Little Panther Camp: A light snack will be provided
Specialist Camp: Lunch will be provided
Prospect Camp: Lunch will be provided

What if I can't get a helmet?
We will work around the situation. Again, this is an non-contact camp.

Is there a medical staff at camp?
Yes, All of our camps are covered by our staff of certified Athletic Trainers.

What should a resident camper bring to camp?
Campers may bring their on twin sheets, pillow and towels. An alarm clock will be helpful. You will not need a fan Sutherland Hall is air conditioned. Please be reminded that all campers are responsible for their own belongings. Dave Wannstedt Football Camps will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.

I want to give my child money but I am worried about him losing it?
We have a camp bank that is available for the Team/Individual Camp. At check-in you can deposit money in the camp bank and at the end of camp we will return any balances available. This is not available for 1-Day Camps.
