About the DYSL Recreational/Development Program Quality Training - Paid Coaches - Set Curriculum - AffordableWelcome to the DYSL Recreational and Development program. We follow an age specific educational and developmental system to teach young players soccer and provide a strong foundation. We have a particular interest in best supporting our local players at their starting years playing soccer and offer multi-day training at their outset. We are the only all-paid-coach non-profit recreational program in the area, with a very low player/coach ratio, our program is subsidized by the entire league competitive program. We provide year 'round soccer with Fall Season, Winter Development, Spring Season, and Summer Skills. We play Rec level, Class 4 soccer in CYSA-N (California Youth Soccer Association - North). Recreational/Developmental teams have no tryouts per CYSA-N Class 4 rules. All players are given an excellent program and an equal chance at success with great coaches. Teams signed on in the fall stay together for the seasonal year to build the team. Players get to join with a few friends as long as they are inclusive. Very simply, to improve a player must spend time playing and having fun so they want to stick with it. We want our players to be the best they can be and we work cooperatively with our league families to serve our community in soccer. Parent Volunteer Requirements: Parents do not coach. Parents are needed to help email the team about game schedule (U8 and up) & snacks (all teams). Parents get to leave the coaching to the coaches, and enjoy watching the game and practices with your team. We encourage our players to move up to competitive soccer when they are ready to play with more competitive players in their age bracket. Competitive teams start at U8/U9. There are no younger competitive teams. We work with the De Anza Force Soccer Club, our DYSL league sanctioned club, to gear this program to best prepare the players. |
