Go Dixie Terra Linda Little League!   Baseball has such great memories. One of my best players was a 12 year old pitcher I had back in the 1980's who would take a miniature 'GI Joe' action figure to the mound and place it next to his feet when he pitched (for good luck I suppose--we did win a title that year). But the weird part is that the other teams just laughed. Nobody ever complained about the toy.

Have a terrific season!
Best regards from Rick Fishman, author of Sandlot Summit, the funniest youth baseball story ever.

Twin Cities Little League

Nancy:

I want to congratulate your coaches of your major TOC team and especially your 11-12 all-star manager. I coached against your major TOC team and it was a pleasure to see a 1-0 game that left both teams feeling good about how we played. Your coaches were true gentlemen during their visit to Joe Wagner field.

But more impressive to me was the way your manager of the 11-12 all-stars handled the final inning of their game against our Twin Cities team. While totally aware of the fact that the TCLL manager did not qualify a player, which we all know the consequences, I was proud to watch your manager let the kids play it out on the field. It showed respect for the game, respect for the children, and respect for Little League baseball.

I can only hope that all of the other LL volunteers, that watched the dignity she demonstrated, will do the same thing next time. It showed us in TCLL a lot of class and I hope you will let her know.

Great job and congrats!!
