Tuesday, November 162010-11 Varsity Team Announced
After two days of very competitive tryouts, the roster of the 2010-11 Derryfield Girls' Varsity Basketball team was announced Tuesday evening. Four rookies have been selected to join the eight returning veterans.

We are thrilled that Abby Durant ‘12 will continue her role as our team manager and scorekeeper.
The girls will have an away scrimmage at Sanborn Regional High School on Monday, November 29 and will open the regular season on Friday, December 3, when we host the Newmarket Mules.

Green and Kalliel Named All-State
Andrea Green '10 and Bethany Kalliel '12 were named to the NHBCO Class S FIRST Team All-State team at a ceremony preceeding the Granite Game Senior All-Star game between Class S and Class M. Congratulations to Andrea and Bethany!

Coach Lemire Receives Coach-of-the-Year Award
The New Hampshire Basketball Organization (NHBCO) announced that Coach Ed Lemire of The Derryfield School was named the 2009-10 Class S Coach-of-the-Year. The selection was made by a vote of the Class S coaches. This is the fifth Coach-of-the-Year award for Coach Lemire having won the award in 1998, 2000, 2002, and 2005.

Schwarz Named to NH Rotary Team
Kelly Schwarz, was named to the 2008 New Hampshire Rotary Team which will face the Vermont all-stars in the annual Rotary Game. The game will be played at the University of Vermont on Saturday, July 12, 2008. Kelly will be the fifth Derryfield girl to play in the annual all-star game against Vermont. The others include Mya Mangawang '91, Stacey Starner '99, Christine Culver '00, and Kendra Decelle '05. JJ Jorgensen '02 was chosen for the game, but was unable to participate due to her July 1st report date at West Point.
