Gene Burrus
featured at New Bridge

A photo taken in 1933 of Dana Point Youth Baseball's Play-by-Play Announcer,
Gene Burrus, and his family is one of several tile mosaics
gracing the new walkway over Pacific Coast Highway.

One of two works done by local Capo Beach artist, Lubica Selecka,
show Gene, his younger brother, Dick, his grandfather, grandmother, and his mom standing
in front of a Dana Point sign explaining how hides were tossed over the cliffs by Richard Henry Dana

The bridge was dedicated on Friday, May 23nd at 10am

Nicaragua Donations

Dear DPYB Coaches, Parents and Players:    As many of you are aware, I'm very involved with "Beisbol" in Nicaragua. With the exception of Jim Easton, I rely solely on donations from individuals like you. Í have permission from DPYB and Mark Pryzbylak of "Pro-Kids Academy" to place Boxes and/or barrels at the upcoming free clinics for our players at each field. I would appreciate any and all discarded cleats ("Tacos"- most requested), bats, gloves, helmets, balls and old uniforms (hats, shirts etc.). PLEASE bring anything you've been wanting to get rid of from your garage or closets.  See attached photos.

     Coaches and Commissioners.....could you please mail this out to your players Parents....Thanks.
