Dover Little League Baseball Parent Meeting Monday
November 16, 2015 7:00 pm DelDOT Administrative Building 800 Bay Road, Dover, DE 19901

We, as members of the current Dover Little League Board of Directors, have taken the task of reviewing all actions, processes, and procedures undertaken by the league to ensure a successful future of organized baseball and softball in the Dover community. To that end, we are holding an informational session on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the DelDOT Administration Building (800 Bay Road) starting at 7:00 pm. Representatives from Babe Ruth Baseball will be present as we undertake the review of whether to stay affiliated with Little League International or change and affiliate ourselves with Babe Ruth Baseball.

As this is a significant decision to be made, we would appreciate your attendance at this meeting to ask questions and help us form the best decision possible for the future of baseball and softball in Dover. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on Monday at 7:00 pm.

Dover Little League 2015 Board of Directors

Dear Friends of Dover Little League:

As recently reported, Dover Little League has been in the media for off-the-field issues. Due to the ongoing nature of the situation, no further details can be discussed at this time. However, on September 3, 2015, a new Board of Directors was elected to lead Dover Little League into the future. A future that we envision of changes and a commitment to the children of the League and the community of Dover. While we know this will not be easy, there is a strong recognition that changes must be made, and an even stronger desire on behalf of the Board of Directors to make appropriate changes to the way business was conducted in the past.

We know and fully recognize building trust in the community will be key in moving forward for the League. As a new Board of Directors, we look forward to the opportunity to be transparent and work collaboratively with the community to restore the pride of Dover Little League. We want nothing else than filling the fantastic facility we have for the children to play the games of baseball and softball, while also providing a fun, safe, and positive atmosphere for our wonderful fans.

Again, we recognize this will not be easy, but the Board of Directors is committed to this mission. We look forward to working with the community at large to rebuild the pride of Dover Little League. Any and all questions and comments are appreciated, so feel free to reach out to us. We’d be happy to discuss the future of Dover Little League. A future we are excited to be a part of creating, with the assistance of the community of this wonderful city.

We will provide a program to all the boys and girls regardless of race, ethnicity, or creed that is competitive and educational in both baseball and softball.  The objective will be achieved by providing supervised and structured games.  The winning of a game is secondary to the primary objective of molding our future men and women

While Dover Little League, Incorporated is a nonprofit organization, we still have to pay for everything needed to run the League.  Last year our expenditures exceeded $145,000.  We have one of the best, if not the best Parks on the East Coast. Our revenues depend entirely on our registration fees, sponsors, fundraisers, donations, and our concession stand.  No officer, director, manager, coach, or umpire receives pay for his or her service.  It's the volunteers who keep our League operating smoothly.  SO PLEASE VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME AND EFFORTS TO MAKE 2015 THE BEST YEAR EVER AT DOVER LITTLE LEAGUE.

We are located at 200 Electric Avenue. Electric Avenue is located at the intersection of Hazlettville and Mifflin Roads. The Little League Complex is passed the Schutte Park recreational fields behind Proctor and Gamble. Click on the Locations link to the left for a map of the complex.
