2009 Tryouts
Our tryout date has been changed from Saturday, March 7th to Sunday, March 8th. They will still be held at the Nichols College Field House. Nichols College is hosting the ECAC Division III New England Women's Basketball Championship this weekend. Therefore we need to make sure we only enter the field house through the lower double doors. Parking for tryouts will be in lot M just above the softball field and below the tennis courts. Walk up the path to the right of the tennis courts to the lower entrance of the field house.
Softball tryouts will be in the morning; baseball tryouts will be in the afternoon. Wear sneakers and bring your glove. Tryouts are for the older divisions, excluding Junior Baseball.
This Sunday we switch to Daylight Savings Time. Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour!
Softball Tryouts
8-10 year olds @ 9:00am
11/12 year olds @ 10:00am
13-16 year olds @ 11:00am
Softball ages are determined by age as of 12/31/2008.
Baseball Tryouts
12 year olds @ 12:00pm
11 year olds @ 1:15pm
10 year olds @ 2:30pm
8/9 year olds @ 3:45pm
Baseball ages are determined by age as of 4/30/2009.
All players listed in each age group need to attend tryouts. Also, if a baseball player wishes to be considered for a higher division they must attend these tryouts. This would include any 7 year-olds who played Pitching Machine in 2008 and wish to play in AAA, 8 year-olds who played AAA in 2008 and wish to play in Minors, and 10 year-olds who wish to play in Majors. (These 7 year-olds should come to the 8/9 year-old tryouts.)
