The DC Stoddert Edge is a Girls U-13 team that competes in the Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS). WAGS is one of the premier travel soccer leagues in the United States, with participation from over 60 soccer clubs sponsoring almost 350 teams. Member clubs span the region from Fredericksburg, Virginia to Baltimore, Maryland.

The mission of the DC Stoddert Soccer Travel Program is to provide a professionally coached, competitive and fun environment in which players can reach their highest individual and collective potentials.

The Edge plays in WAGS U-13 Division 2. Team accomplishments:

• Finalist. Bethesda Tournament, November 2005
• Finalist, Chesapeake Cup, March 2006
• Finalist, Richmond Kickers Tournament, October 2007
• Champions, Arlington Spring Invitational Tournament, March 2008
• Winners of the WAGS Division 2 Sportsmanship Award, Fall 2007 season

The team is coached by Kate Samsot, Director of Travel Soccer for DC Stoddert Soccer Club, and a former varsity soccer player at the University of North Carolina. Kate has a United States Soccer Federation A coaching license and has coached numerous successful youth travel soccer teams. She is also a coach in the Olympic Development Program.

TRYOUTS FOR FALL 2008 SEASON ON JUNE 10 AND 12
