The DCST Flame!
Welcome to the web site for the DC Stoddert Flame. The Flame is a skilled and competitive rising U-18 travel team led by an excellent coach and cheered on by supportive parents and other posse members.

Comprised of varsity players from a collection of high schools throughout the DC metro area (including 3 of the Post's top 10), the Flame finished 4th in WAGS Division 2 spring season with a record of 4-4-1.

The team is coached by Evans Malyi. Evans, who holds a USSF "A" license as well as a National Youth License, is a former professional player who has coached youth soccer for eleven years, the past six focused on player development. He is an Assistant Coach of the Maryland Women's State Select Team, the former Athletic Director of DC Scores. His coaching philosophy is to develop individual player skill and team tactical skills stressing a strong sense of teamwork.

The Flame, which plans to play the upcoming WAGS season in U-19/HS Division, will hold open tryouts on Monday, July 9th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Norwood Park in Bethesda (Near Wisconsin Ave. and Bradley Blvd).
