Welcome to Pop Warner Little Scholars in Washington, D.C. / Information Page
We're going into our 12th year with Pop Warner - Eastern Region and since then, Six our of teams have advanced to the Super Bowl in Orlando, FL. - Woodridge Warriors - Midgets 1997, Marshall Heights Bison - Midgets 1999, 2000, 2003 and Winning the National Championship in 2006 and The Beacon House Falcons Pee Wee winning in 2007.

This Conference was formerly administered by the Metro. Police Boys & Girls Clubs, DC. The MPBGC a Non-Profit organization formed in 1934 to promote organized youth activities and to build character for the youth of DC. As of July 30, 2003 this League is now managed by the BGCGW. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is to help boys and girls of all backgrounds, with an emphasis on at-risk youth, build confidence, develop character and acquire the skills needed to become productive, civic-minded, responsible adults.
We currently have 16 organizations under our banner:

    Background Checks

    Pop Warner Mandatory Background Checks:

    For the 2nd consecutive season, Pop Warner programs nationwide will be required to annually conduct a background check of: Coaches, Board of Directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players and/or spirit participants. The purpose of these background checks is, first and foremost, to protect the children.

    National Midget Champs 2006

    Bison Crowned National Champs (Washington, DC)   

    Three years ago, the Mashall Heights Bison (DC) dropped a 7-6 heartbreaker to the Dale City Cowboys for the national title. This year, however, they jumped out early on the East Anchorage Eagles and held on to capture their first national championship with a 24-12 win on Saturday.
