The 2009 tryouts are set for Monday, July 28th, Tuesday, July 29th and Thursday, July 31st from 8:00p.m. until 9:30p.m. each day at the home of Lady Cougar Softball.
2008 Facts:
Cougars JV team took first place in the first annual Jackson tournament April 12th, going undefeated!! Congrats girls!
Lady Cougars have outscored their opponents 181 to 70
Cougars longest winning streak for the year is 11 games
Cougar pitching has collected 168 strikeouts (Leaders are Dampf owning 111, in 122.5 innings, Kilgore with 67 in 93 innings)
CONGRATS MEGAN KILGORE: Megan collected a career high 18 strikeouts in a tournament game in the Sluggefest in Kentucky! Coach Buchanon is checking the stats of years past but looks like Megan may have set a new school record!

Heather Gray has two homeruns (Kenwood and Worth Tournament) for the Cougars, while Cat collects her first homerun against Rossview! Megan Kilgore picked up her first career homerun against Brentwood!

Sydney Teal has one of the best hits against Rossview collecting a double.
Carter Mansolino is the only freshman on the varsity squad that gets time both offensively and defensively, Ashley McCallister was introduced as part of the varsity squad this week!

Lauren Keele has the most RBIs in one game with four in both the Northwest and Clarksville games, Megan Kilgore also has four RBI's in a game against Henry County. Kayla Edwards adds a 4 RBI game to the Courgar collection in the Sluggerfest Tournament.
Lauren Keele (406) is leading the Cougar Offense with the highest batting average, followed by Catherine Petty at (402) and Kayla Edwards at (401). While Juliannna Bass at (590) has the highest on base percentage followed by Kayla Edwards at (577) and Lauren Keele at (538).
Kayla Cantrell was the last Dickson County Lady Cougar Softball player to wear the number 2. Dickson has retired her jersey and will have it on display to honor the life and journey of a fallen teammate. Current lady Cougars wear the letters KC and the number 2 on their helmets to carry Kayla with them. Riverdale also gave the team lime green ribbon stickers to wear on their helmets - THANKS!
