CHSIHA 2004 Championship Game - click title to view the article! DC vs Bear Creek Semi Final Game - DC vs Chaparral DC came into game with a 15-1 record. Chaparral's record was 13-2-1. Chaparral scored first 4 minutes into the game. DC scoring was started by Luke Osborn with an unassisted shot at 11:35 left in the first half. Tyler Morrison scored at 10 minutes left in the first half. Chaparral scored to tie the game 4 minutes into the second half. The game winner was shot in by Allen Kallweit on an assist by Tyler Morrison and Zack Gee with 11 minutes left in the 2nd half. The defense was staunch and with very few uncontested shots on either side it was a great game and one of the most exciting of the Huskies season. Scoring: Luke Osborn - 1 goal Tyler Morrison - 1 goal, 1 assist Allen Kallweit - 1 goal Zack Gee - 1 assist Championship Game - DC vs Bear Creek Southern Conference Champion DC came into the game at 16-1. Bear Creek (12-3-2) came into the game as Northern Conference Champion having defeated an undefeated Chatfield team in the semi-final game. DC's Luke Winder scored off a nice pass from Matt Hauther just 30 seconds into the game. Matt Hauther ripped a nice wrist shot past the Bear Creek goalie with 15 minutes left in the 1st half. Luke Osborn started off the second half scoring with a strong slapshot at 18 minutes left in the second half. Bear Creek scored on a power play with 9:40 left in the game. Luke Winder finished off a tremendous DC game and season with an open net goal with 9 seconds left in the game. The entire team contributed to the win with great hustle and tremendous defense. Goalie Ryan Merideth was outstanding in both the semi final and championship games. DC ended the season as State Champions with a final record of 17-1.
