CULVER MARINA LITTLE LEAGUE
Welcome to Culver Marina Little League, formerly known as Playa Vista Little League! The Culver Marina Little League organization is for boys and girls ages 6 to 14 that live in the Del Rey/Marina del Rey/Culver City West/Playa Vista area. Come out and support the league - our players and volunteers!

As the seasons draws to a close it seems we still have a lot going on......
Major Dodgers are Culver Marina Little League Champions!!
Minor Dodgers are also Culver Marina Little League Champions!!
Let's congratulate both teams. They now go on to represent our league in the Tournament of Champions. TOCs begin June 10th and go until the 20th. We are hosting the tournament on our fields so we will need volunteers to help with scorekeeping, announcing, field prep and snack bar. We need lots of help!! If you can help with anything, please email John Buckley at jbuckley@henselphelps.com
All of the players and coaches would very much appreciate seeing as many cheering fans in the stands as possible during the playoffs, TOCs and All Star games. Please come out and support our teams even if your child isn't playing. These games at the end of the season get very exciting!!
Picnic.... Our league picnic is Saturday June 6th. The gates will be open by 8am. Teams and families are encouraged to bring bar-b-ques, EZ Ups, and any food and drink of your choice. Squirt guns are welcome!! Keep in mind that the snack bar will be closed. Team parents and managers should coordinate amongst your team. We are asking everyone to setup in the common areas and stay off the fields as we are preparing to host the Tournament of Champions. The picnic will officially go until 4pm but you're welcome to stay later if you'd like. Trophies will be given out, there will be some other awards presented and All-stars will be announced during the picnic. There will also be two adult baseball/softball games. At 9am there will be a mens hardball game. At 12pm there will be a co-ed softball game. There's a signup sheet posted outside the snack bar. All coaches and parents are welcome to sign up. You must be at least 21 years old and be a coach or a parent of a player. There is a $10 entry fee. All proceeds will go to cover the cost of umpires for the games and the remainder will go to the league.We'd love to see lots of parents sign up and everyone else watching and cheering. Both games should be very entertaining!!!!!
Past Fundraisers
Dodger Night.... was a success!! 200 CMLL players, parents, coaches and friends came out to the game. We raised $600.00 and everyone enjoyed the all-you-can eat pavillion.
Chuck E Cheese Night.... This one didn't do so well. Only 15 families showed up and we only made $96. We just want to remind everyone that if our league is to continue to be successful, we need as much support as possible on every event.
BLEACHERS.... So far we have raised $3,500.00 from fundraisers and snackbar!! Two sets of bleachers have been ordered and will arrive in the next week to ten days. They will have to be assembled so we are looking for volunteers.
Upcoming Fundraisers
Tuesday June 2nd.... California Pizza Kitchen, 5-8pm, 13345 Fiji Way, Marina Del Rey. The league will earn 20% on everything on the menu. Includes take out. Please bring the attached flyer with you and give it to your server. Very Important. Please do not distribute the flyer to anyone around the restaurant. It will void the fundraiser.
Saturday June 13th.... The fundraiser of the year! Happy hour at 90 West Lounge - 12740 Culver Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066. (310) 821-4000. Stop by anytime during the day - have a drink and an appetizer. Starting at 9pm there will be a DJ and dancing. 20% of the proceeds go to the league. Let your server or bartender know you're from the league.
Saturday June 20th.... We will have a booth at the rummage sale at St. Gerard Majella Church. It's at the corner of Culver and Inglewood Blvds. We are asking for donations of shoes and clothing. Please bring your donations to the snack bar by June 19th. See attached flyer.
