Message from Coach Ron - Crusader Baseball 12U team makes progesss this fall.

Crusader Parents,

The coaching staff would like to begin by thanking you for your dedication
and commitment to the 12U Crusader Baseball team. Even though we have had a
few bumps and bruises along the way this season, thanks to you, we have had
a very successful year. We understand how demanding a schedule it is for
you and appreciate the time and money spend on making sure your child was at
the practices and games.

We would like to just recap this season quickly so that we all understand
where we were, where we are, and where we are trying to be in the future.

We came into this season ranked in the lower half of the AAU Sunshine
Athletics Inc., standings. For example, in the first tournament this season
we were ranked 12th out of 16 teams in the tournament, which is not very
good. We slowly but surely progressed throughout the year to finish the
final state tournament in the top 12 out of 40 teams that were at the
tournament. In the final standing we ended up in the top 20 for points, out
of 70 teams. I don't know about you but we believe that that is a wonderful
improvement to make in one season. Thanks to our boys' hard work and focus
we were able to finish the season on very good note. Now we understand that
some negative people would not see the improvement in that, however, we have
to look at this as building blocks and put it in perspective. You have to
learn to crawl before you can run, and we feel that this team is on the
verge of a full sprint! For the parents that were with us last year, we
hope you see the progress the team has made, and for the new parents we want
to assure you that we are striving to improve even more next season.

The coaching staff is very excited about the upcoming season and is
determined to help this team improve and get to the next level. We are
looking forward to our big trip to Cooperstown and have confidence that with
hard work and dedication this team will have great tournament in New York.

Thanks again and please do not hesitate to talk to the Manager, Ron Petito,
or any of the coaches Rob Haefeli or Juan Berrios if you have any questions.

"It's not the will to win that matters - everyone has that - it's the
willingness to prepare to win that matters." - Paul "Bear" Bryant
