'06-'07 Crew U11 Season Results
'07 Spring Season (1-15):

Regular Season (0-10):
CREW  0             ISC Storm  7
The CREW started off playing well again, keeping the score tight in the first half 0-2, but with only two subs the CREW fizzled out in the second half allowing 5 more. It was a tough season, but the boys gave it their all every game. Player of the Game: Drew, for another outstanding game.

CREW  2             SCA 95 Blitz  11
The CREW started off this game playing the Blitz very well. The Blitz struck first, but the CREW came back and Kyle scored the CREW's first goal. The Blitz were called for a hand ball inside the box off of a corner kick and Kyle put in the pernalty kick putting the CREW up 2-1. That's when the wheels fell of. The Blitz got lucky when a player was not called offsides and went in to score to tie the game. On the kickoff, the Blitz stole the ball and quickly scored again to take the lead. At half time it was 2-5. In the second half the CREW defense continued to struggle with the Blitz's speed and allowed 6 more goals. Player of the Game: Conor, for outstanding passing and hustle the entire game.

CREW  3             Team Dayton  9
The CREW continue to play good tough soccer. Playing the always overly aggressive Team Dayton, the CREW had a tough time with Team Dayton's speed. Team Dayton got 6 goals in the first half, but the CREW managed one. With Team Dayton called for a foul just outside the box, Kyle kicked the ball around Team Dayton's wall into the corner of the net. In the second half, after another Team Dayton foul, Alex placed a perfect pass over everyone and Kyle out ran Team Dayton's defenders to put in his second goal of the game. Kip finished the CREW's scoring with a great shot past the goalie. Team Dayton got 3 more goals in the second half to make it 3-9. Player of the Game: Kyle, for scoring 2 goals against a tough Team Dayton team.

CREW  2             Metro FC Rapids  9
The CREW started the game off playing great soccer. With only 8 players, the boys played smart and didn't allow the Rapids many shots in the first half. The defense of Alex, Cody and Blake did a fantastic job of pulling the Rapids offsides several times in the first half. Will did a great job in the net making a lot of great saves and only allowing 1 goal in the first half. The CREW had a few good chances to score in the first half, but they couldn't get it in. By the second half the boys were getting tired since they played the entire first half. The CREW got on the board with a great pass by Conor to Brian who scored his first goal of the season. Later in the second half Brain caught the goalie trying to roll out a short pass to his defense, stole the ball and quickly scored his second of the game. The tired CREW tried, but couldn't hold off the Rapids any longer. The Rapids got 8 goals in the second half. Good effort by everyone, playing the entire game with no breaks in that heat. Player of the Game: Brian, for playing a great game and getting 2 goals.

CREW  1             Club X Crush  3
The CREW played a fantastic game against the Crush, but fell a little short. The Crush started off the scoring with a misplayed ball into the middle of the field got brought back in the box for the first goal. The CREW answered back when Alex cleared the ball to the other side of the field to Wyatt. The Crush goalie came out to challenge Wyatt, but he chipped the ball over the goalies head for the score. With the score 1-1 at the half, the CREW continued to play outstanding. The defense played better than they have all year stopping many shots and stealing the ball from the Crush. The Crush managed two more goals in the second half to the CREW's zero. The CREW had several shots just miss the goal, which could have made a huge difference in the game. Playing with only one sub, all nine players gave everything they had in this game. Best overall team game so far this season. Player of the Game: Wyatt, Along with scoring our first goal in four games, Wyatt played outstanding defense. He had several steals and played aggressive.

CREW  0             ISC Storm  5
The CREW continue to improve and played a very tough ISC Storm team very well. The CREW almost matched the Storm in shots taken 12-15, but once again, they couldn't get the ball in the net. The CREW played great defense and offense and kept the ball on the Storm's side of the field most of the first half. The game was much closer than the score shows. With some questionable calls and a few mental mistakes by the CREW the score would have been much closer. Great game boys. Keep up the good work. Player of the Game: Davis, made some great saves. Came out and challenged 1v1 a few times and shut them down.

CREW  0             Team Dayton  6
Although the score doesn't show it, the CREW played Team Dayton very tough. We matched up with them very well, the CREW could get their shots in the goal. The defense  and midfield played great and made Team Dayton make a lot of their shots from outside. Great overall play by everyone. Player of the Game: Will, played fantastic in the goal and made some outstanding saves.

CREW  0             Metro FC Rapids 6
The CREW played their best game of the season. The CREW managed only one shot less than the Rapids 10-11, but they couldn't get the ball in the net. Great overall play by everyone. The CREW won more balls at mid field, played more aggressive and never let up. Alex and Kip did a great job in the net. Much better boys. Let's keep up the improvement. Player of the Game: Drew, once again for outstanding play. Drew hung on the Rapids best player for most of the game and shut him down.

CREW  3             Club X Crush  8
The CREW started off on the wrong foot, allowing the Crush to score within the first 30 seconds of the game. After that the CREW seem to settle down, but continued to play catch up to the Crush. The CREW allowed the Crush to dictate the first half, with the Crush winning the ball at mid field and keeping the ball in CREW territory most of the first half. The Crush scored two more in the first half for a 3-0 lead. The CREW came out looking much better in the second half with Noland getting the CREW on the board, but shortly after that the Crush answered back. The CREW scoring finished with Noland getting his second of the night and Jacob getting the CREW's third and final goal. The Crush, however, managed four more giving the Crush eight. Several of the goals were from the CREW shooting themselves in the foot. We need to eliminate some very key mistakes and get going on the right track.
Player of the Game: Brian for great passing, determination and hard work the entire game.

CREW  1             SCA 95 Blitz  9
On a very cold and windy night, the CREW came out a little frozen and had a hard time keeping the Blitz out of our end of the field. With the wind to their backs, the Blitz dominated the first half tallying up 8 goals to the CREW's zero. The CREW had a hard time keeping up with the Blitz's speed and great passing. In the second half, the CREW started to thaw and come alive. The CREW got on the board with a great cross by Brain to Kip, who punched it in for the score. The CREW had several other chances, but couldn't get the ball in the net. The Blitz managed one more goal, but the CREW played a much better second half , neutralizing the Blitz's attack. Although they started off slow, the CREW finished great and we hope that carries on to the next game.
Player of the Game: Drew for overall tough play.

Midway through the game the CREW started to relax and allowed the Magic Men to score three quick goals to even up the game. After that the CREW tightened back up and played great defense and tacked on 6 more goals to put the game out of reach. Excellent defense by Zac, Christian, Cody, Alex, Will and Conor. CREW  1             Ridgeville Christian  4
The CREW started the game out playing pretty equal to Ridgeville Christian with each team getting a goal in the first half of the game, with the CREW getting theirs from Zach with an assist from Trey. In the second half of the game, Ridgeville Christian took over and controled the game tallying 3 more goals. The CREW allowed Ridgeville Christian to dictate the flow of the game and beat the CREW to the ball. The CREW had many good chances for goals, but just couldn't manage to get them in.

CREW  11           St. Francis - McDaniel  1
The CREW played a great all around game. Although the CREW allowed St. Francis to get on the board first, the CREW went on a scoring frenzy from then on. Great passing and defensive play allowed the CREW to get 11 goals. The CREW played a man down for almost half the game with Trey getting an undeserved red card. Goals were scored by Kyle (4), Wyatt (2), Jacob (2), Noland (2) and Conor (1), with assists by Christian (2), Wyatt (1) and Alex (1). Great game boys.

CREW  4             Jeff Pohlman  3
Once again, the CREW started off slow allowing 2 goals and an own goal to get behind 0-3. The CREW were playing a much bigger team and once they got used to their size they started taking over. The CREW got goals from Trey, Noland, Zach and Kyle. The CREW kept control of the ball most of the second half allowing 2 shots on goal. Everyone played a fantastic game and out hustled their opponent. Good game boys.

CREW 5              St. Francis - Huber  4
The CREW played a tough St. Francis team who held the advantage for most of the game. The CREW played a little sloppy the first half of the game, but came up big when they needed to. Trailing for most of the game, the CREW took the lead for the first time when it counted, at the end of the game. Goals were scored by Jacob (2), Wyatt (1), Noland (1) and Trey (1), with Trey also getting an assist. Overall good game.

CREW  5             Maniacs  2
The CREW started off the indoor season with a bang. The CREW dominated offensively and defensively and controled the pace of the game. With great passing and field awareness, the CREW jumped on the Maniacs early with a great goal by Trey and followed that soon after with a goal by Conor assisted by Trey. Through more than the first half of the game, the CREW defense, Christian, Conor, Alex, Cody, Wyatt, Brian and Davis, held the Maniacs to 0 shots on goal. The Crew also, got goals from Alex, Cody and Jacob with assists from Brian and Wyatt. The Maniacs managed two goals late in the game. The CREW started the game off playing great during the first 10 minutes going up 1-0 with Kyle scoring, but then NUSA took over. NUSA started beating the CREW to the ball and scored three goals before it was halftime. Kyle scored another making it 2-3 at the half. The second half was much of the same. NUSA continued to win the ball and scored two more, while Kyle scored his third for the hat trick making it 3-5. The CREW finished the season 7-3 and in second place. Great overall season boys

CREW  1             Warrior '95  0
The CREW beat a tough Warrior team in a defensive battle. The CREW only managed to get 4 shots on goal the entire game, but Noland made his count, getting a goal in the first half. The CREW defense of Alex, Will, Kip, Cody, Blake, Wyatt, Drew and Conor only allowed 5 shots on goal all day. With the score 1-0 at the half, the CREW got a scare in the second half when a hand ball was called in the penalty box. The Warriors, with a great chance to even the score, took the penalty shot and Davis made a great save to keep the ball out of the net. Davis made a few more great saves to help the CREW take home the win. That had to be the best defensive effort of the year. Great game boys.

CREW  5             BSA Celtic '95 Blue  0
The CREW played their most complete game of the season against the Celtics. Great passing, communication, defense and shooting. In the first half, Alex got things started with a nice goal followed by a goal from Jacob, assisted by Drew, and a goal by Drew making it 3-0 at the half. The CREW defense of Will, Alex, Cody, Kip, Wyatt and Blake only allowed two shots on goal in the first half. In the second half the CREW continued their domination. Kyle scored on a corner kick that went in untouched. Not long after that, Kyle centered another corner kick and Kip tapped it in to make it 5-0. The defense, once again, played great in the second half allowing no shots on goal, helping Davis record the shutout. Fantastic all around game boys.

CREW  5             BSA Celtic '95 Blue  3
The CREW came out on fire against the Celtics firing off 5 goals in the first half and dominating the field. Kip got 2 goals, while Drew, Noland  and Brian each got a goal. Brian got his first goal as a member of the CREW. Assisting on these five goals were: 2 by Kip, 2 by Kyle and 1 by Drew. The CREW held the Celtics to only one goal in the first half making it 5-1 at the half. While the CREW didn't score in the second half the Celtics added two  making the final 5-3. Great game boys.

CREW  1             Metro FC Rapids '95  3
The CREW faced a tough Metro FC team who came into the game undefeated. The Rapids beat the CREW to the ball most of the game making it hard for the CREW to get anything going. The Rapids struck first with a goal in the first half, but the CREW struck back with a goal from Kyle assisted by Jacob. The Rapids broke the tie before the half making it 1-2 at the break. The CREW couldn't manage another goal in the second half, while the Rapids finished off the CREW with another goal making the final 1-3. Although the CREW played a tough game, they didn't win the ball when they needed to. The CREW are now 4-2.

CREW  4             FC Bellbrook Eagles  2
Once again the CREW started off slow, but finished strong. In the first half the CREW allowed the Eagles 2 goals leaving the middle of the field open in front of the goal for the easy scores. The CREW got a goal in the first half with a great goal by Drew. With the score 1-2 at the half, the CREW came out fighting in the second half. Kip knocked in two goals while Jacob got one. The CREW defense stepped up and held the Eagles scoreless in the second half. Great defense by Will, Cody, Kip, Blake, Wyatt, Drew and Davis. The CREW out shot the Eagles 20-5. Although they didn't score, Kyle, Conor, Alex and Brian had great shots on goal today. Way to bounce back boys. We are back on track.

CREW  1             Club X Crush  3
Well, the CREW had to play a tough Club X team and the referee today. With the referee calling a very lopsided game and the CREW starting out a little sloppy, things did not look good for the CREW. The Crush managed to get three goals in the first half, two coming off of players that were clearly offsides but there was no call. The CREW managed a goal also,  with Davis clearing the ball to mid-field where Kyle headed the ball over to Drew who took it in for the score. In second half, playing a man down due to the referee yellow carding a CREW player twice for fouls that weren't even his fault, the CREW played very tough. This was the CREW's first loss in 16 games.

CREW  1             Gunners FC  0
With the playing field in horrible shape, the CREW managed to squeak by a though Gunners FC team 1-0. In the first half, neither team got many shots off and it was a 0-0 tie at half. The CREW were playing sloppy but stepped up when they needed to. In the second half the CREW struck first with a great goal by Jacob. Hearing the goalie call the defender off the ball, Jacob sprinted to the ball and got there before the goalie and put the shot past him for the only score of the night. The Gunners had a good chance with about 4 minutes left in the game but the shot went into the side of the goal, just missing. Davis recorded his first shutout of the season. It wasn't pretty, but the CREW managed to pull one out to knock the winning streak up to 15.

CREW  7             NUSA '95  3
The CREW kept their winning streak going to 14 with an impressive win over NUSA. The CREW offense started off great with two goals by Jacob, both assisted by crosses from Kyle, a goal by Noland and Kip in the first half and the CREW defense started out shaky, but held NUSA to one goal. With the score at 4-1 at the half, the CREW kept the pressure on NUSA tallying three more goals. Conor and Alex each got a goal and Jacob scored his third goal. Although NUSA scored two more in the second half the defense tightened up and played great. Another great game boys, we are now 2-0.

CREW  5             Warrior '95  2
The CREW picked up where they left off in the Spring pushing their winning streak to 13. The CREW started early with a quick goal by Drew within the first 5 minutes of the game. Jacob had a great game scoring two goals in the first half, one assisted by Conor, Noland also got a goal in the first half with an assist from Drew. The Warriors managed a goal in the first half making it 4-1 at the half. In the second half both teams got one more goal each, the CREW's made by Kyle making it 5-2. Overall it was a fantastic game by everyone, especially by the defense of Will, Cody, Kip, Blake, Alex, Wyatt and goalie Davis. Great way to start the season boys.

Forest Park Invitational Results (1-1-1):

CREW  3             GSSA Sycamore United  3

With the score tie 2-2 and the Championship game in reach, the CREW fell flat. Also with shots on goal were Noland and Brian. Overall, the CREW played tough all weekend and finished the season 13-6-1.

MidFest Classic Results (3-1): Champs
Game #1

Another good game by the CREW defense, allowing only 5 shots on goal while the CREW blasted off 14. Game #3
CREW  2             Monroe Stingers  4
The CREW didn't help themselves much in this game. The CREW let the Stingers dictate most of game, reacting to their play instead of making the Stingers react to them. With the score at 0-1 at the half, the Stingers were in control of the match. In the second half, it was much of the same, missed opportunities and playing the Stingers game. The CREW did score two in the second half, Kyle and Conor each getting one, but the Stingers stung the CREW with three more making it 2-4.

Championship Game
CREW  4             Monroe Stingers  2
With the CREW still a little sore from getting stung by the Stingers earlier in the day, they came out ready to play. Noland and Kip got things started for the CREW with two goals, while the defense played very tough keeping the Stingers to only one goal, making it 2-1 at the half. The CREW came out in the second half and let the Stingers right back in the game with a quick goal to tie it up. That would be the last score for the Stingers. The CREW got two more by Kyle and Noland, putting the game out of reach. Fantastic play by the whole team. This was the best game they played all weekend and it couldn't have happened at a better time. The CREW finished the tournament 3-1 and CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
