The 2002 JV Team has started its own streak !!!!! Keep up the good work.
The photo to the left shows Coach Kirby and his father (respectfully nicknamed "Papa" Kirby by BillyBob) watching JV game. The extra item Coach Kirby is leaning on is proof that football can be a ruff sport. Coach Kirby accidently sustained a knee injury at a scrimmage game when a WR hit him, and had just had surgery performed.

Billybobs take on the game: What started out as a very tuff ballgame ended up looking like it wasn't. Both teams went 0-0 in the first quarter and into the middle of the 2nd qrt. Shelby jumped out on the score board and with a missed PAT it was 0-6 at the half. Early in the 3rd Crest answered back with a TD and made the PAT for a score of 8-6. It looked like going into the 4th qtr that all Crest had to do was run down the clock. But a costly holding penalty gave Shelby the ball inside Crest territory. Shelby quickly capitalized on this and scored a TD and a PAT for 8-14 score. Shortly after the kickoff with Crest pressing to make a quick score an intercepted pass gave Shelby the ball again......for a final score of 8-20.
