Cheerleaders Surpass $5,000 Komen Goal!
The Creekview Cheerleaders are proud to announce that as of 10/14, the team had surpassed their $5000 fundraising goal, and donations are still coming in! The cheerleaders, mascots, coaches, and parents have been working hard since August to achieve this year’s target goal. The team has collected at football games, grocery stores and through personal contact with friends and family. October 8th, the R. L. Turner game was declared a “pink-out” game and the cheerleaders were supported by many other organizations. Coach Cline and the entire football team, coaches and trainers all wore pink wrist tape as a visible sign that they were backing the cheerleaders. The Wranglers also “pinked-up” and the Chevals wore pink ribbons tied to their boots and on their hats. The Student Council D.A.S.H. committee made pink rag bracelets to sell to help the cheerleaders raise money for the Komen.
On Saturday, October 16th, a team of over forty cheerleaders, mascots, coaches and moms will be walking in the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure. We wish to thank the Creekview community for helping us achieve our goal.
