ABOUT THE CLUB
The Crane Soccer Club is a local, independent, non-profit organization that is committed to provide area youth an opportunity to participate in soccer at a variety of competitive levels. The club is affiliated with the Capital District Youth Soccer League (CDYSL), which is part of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association and United States Youth Soccer Association.
Teams representing the Crane Soccer Club participate in the CDYSL spring and fall Travel Leagues, and play indoor soccer against teams across the region in facilities located in Albany or Halfmoon.
The clubs home field is located at St. Joseph’s on Maple Lane in Valatie, and uses the fields at Volunteers Park as well as facilities provided by the Ichabod Crane School District.
The Crane Soccer Club sponsored the following teams during the 2009-2010 year:
One U8 Mixed Travel Team
Two U10 Boys Travel Teams (played both indoor and outdoor spring soccer)
Two U12 Boys Travel Teams (playing indoor soccer and outdoor spring soccer)
One U12 Girls Travel Team (playing indoor soccer and outdoor spring soccer)
One U16 Boys Travel Team (played indoor and outdoor spring soccer)
The Crane Soccer Club also has an indoor recreation program at the Martin Van Buren School Kinderhook Saturdays Mid day for U6 thru U11 children. (boys and girls)
Our club has been playing in the local soccer league for 14 years. We are located in Northern Columbia County New York. Our students attend Ichabod Crane Central Schools as well as Chatham Schools and Hudson Schools. Usually we have about 250 children play with our club every year either playing indoor or outdoor soccer or both.
