Court House Cobras: Welcome

Welcome visitors! I would like to thank all wrestlers and their families for all their support for the 2008 Court House Cobras Wrestling Team. We had a lot of sucess for the first year Cobra team. The Cobras are in the C.O.B.Y.W.A (Central Ohio Buckey Youth Wrestling Association). C.O.B.Y.W.A consist of 23 teams from central Ohio.
The Cobras also took part in wrestling at regionals which was held at the French Field House in Columbus, OH. The top wrestlers from each weight class advanced to the State Tournement which was held at The Nationwide Arena.
Our goal this year was to teach our young kids the basics and fundamentals of wrestling. As the year goes on we expect every wrestler to progress with every practice and on to the advanced wrestling practices. We focused on conditioning, drilling, situational wrestling and games. We also offer open mats during the season and we will offer open mats this summer. Another one of our goals is to build a competitive wrestling room that will develop a competitive wrestler.
The Cobras were respectively one of the top teams in our league for 2008. It is our goal as Cobra coaches to make 2009 even better and to advance more Cobras to the state tournement next year. Our team goal for 2009 is to be the top team in our league and also to advance 80% of our team to the state to bring home a state title as a team.
